Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaWe had difficulty in finding Villa Clementine as our hired car did not have a navigation system.
Our host, Rita, made our stay extremely enjoyable. She is exceptionally hospitable and kind. She welcomed us into her home and provided the perfect breakfast.

DenmarkLack og modern TV.
Breakfast was good plenty an home made as expected in a b&b. This b&b is situated in a what I believe to be a typical Sicilian country house. The hostes is very friendly and the hospitality can not be questioned. Rooms are spacey and bed is big and comfortable. Even at a countryside style we were very close to city centre.

The house sits just down from the pretty hilltop town of Armerina and is full of character and charm. Rita was the perfect host, giving us a lift into town the evening we arrived and providing a delicious breakfast the next morning (with orange juice made from oranges grown in her garden). We felt very well looked after, would definitely return.

United States of AmericaThe approx. half mile drive from city of Piazza Armerina up to Villa Clementine is on quite narrow road, single lane in some places with quite a few pot holes. Without GPS would likely be hard to find, typical of Sicilian mountain cities or towns can be awkward if meeting a vehicle coming other direction. There can be a few small mosquitoes so one keeps door closed, two openable windows (one in bathroom) but no screens on them so they need to be kept closed at night. Lovely view over valley does have an elevated highway bridge in view it but maybe 200 meters distant from house, there can be some audible traffic noise but not really noticeable with windows closed. Our lovely big bedroom had relatively small bathroom, takes a while for hot water to arrive but shower's water pressure was fine. There was strong fragrance (air freshener?) after the room was cleaned that took a few hours to dissipate and to which I had some allergic reaction, but nothing serious. By nighttime was gone. Room was a bit dark, we thought, suggested addition of one reading lamp behind easy chair which Rita indicated she thought a very good idea and one that she would act upon right away. The TV signal was a bit dodgy, only three channels in English were not strong reception, so mostly Italian TV. Netflix, other streaming services much appreciated but not always easy to watch.
Lovely stay! Wonderful location one klm outside city, charming 1900 large family villa. Everything very clean, well-maintained. Strong wifi. Comfortable bed w/ extra pillows, good bedding. Superb brkfst in welcoming big kitchen, top quality food, great selection fresh fruit, juices, exc. coffee/tea, fresh baked breads, tarts, cakes, croissants, sliced meats, yogurt, cheeses, eggs upon request. Good climate control with strong AC/heat unit. We had an electric hot water kettle for making coffee or tea in room plus a rather small refrigerator. Thick curtains over good windows. Lovely garden with chairs and pool (very cold by mid-Oct.) The owner/hostess, Rita, is marvelous, very friendly, speaks some English, and she's there! She lives in the rest of the villa w/ husband, a local physician. Great attention to detail, Rita takes that extra effort to be helpful, e.g., plentiful ice cubes upon request. More importantly she is willing to drive guests into Piazza Armerina and come back to pick you up for modest fee (10 Euros round trip, definitely worth it, driving in PA after dark best avoided.) Secure parking for guests' vehicles within locked gate for which guests have remote control key. Best to have your own wheels. 5 minute easy drive from Villa Clementine, opposite direction away from cit southward to the fabulous mosaics at Villa Romana del Casale (btw, be sure to visit this incredible & extensive Roman site!). Rates are very fair ...our best breakfasts in 12 days in Sicily. We stayed 2 nights but wished we had booked for 3 or 4. Piazza Armerina is definitely worth visiting with some very good restaurants, the Duomo, museums. Seems less "touristy" and in mid-October was less crowded or touristed than Noto, Ragusa, Ortigia or Agrigento. If you stay at Villa Clementine (only three rooms available for guests), I'm confident you will be glad you did! Thanks, Rita!

United States of AmericaWe would have preferred staying in a room in the house rather than the garden room underneath the terrace. Pool was cold and closed for the season but we could swim if we wanted.
The host and owner, Rita, was terrific. She even drove us into town for dinner one night, and picked us up. She is really a lot of fun, and energetic. The place was close to the Romana Casale. Grounds well kept. Breakfast very nice and well-served.

Rita , our host was just amazing . Finding the property was a little tricky but once we arrived we just loved it. . Rita is an absolutely wonderful lady who was so warm & welcoming , she made our stay so very special . The breakfasts were delicious . Every morning she had baked a special treat , which my husband just loved , plus the table was laden with everything you could ever want & she kept on asking us if there was anything else we would like . The swimming pool was beautiful, we swam each day . In the evening Rita would take us into town for dinner & then happily come back in & collect us when we had finished .

IsraelThe road leading up to the property is a bit tight (although I didn’t find it too problematic) The chalet was nice, but it wasn’t super clean (we needed to wash part of the cutlery) The bed was not very comfortable to our taste But the biggest let down was the breakfast. We read raving reviews of the breakfast, and the description said they serve buffet breakfast, but when we came in, Rita told us she would get us the ingredients, and we will need to cook for ourselves. On the first day we received buns that weren’t very fresh, and a half rotten cucumber. On the second day things were much more fresh
Amazing pool in a beautiful garden setting. Rita was very nice and communicative (her english is not as strong as her italian, but we managed well with google translate) For breakfast she got us everything we asked for, with some extra home made jam and personal cannoli!

IsraelThere was nothing we didn’t like.
This place is the epitome of paradise: quiet, tranquil, beautiful, relaxing, welcoming and charming. The room was very clean with everything you need including pool blankets and first aid supplies. The pool was wonderful, clean, with green grass around and comfy chairs for sunbathing. The breakfast was delicious, with endless amounts of food and fresh coffee made by Rita on the gas. But the most amazing thing was Rita herself - loving, caring, friendly and extremely polite. We will come again certainly!
