Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe hotel and villa are located about a 15 minute walk down to the beginning of Positano so be prepared. The Hotel L’Agavi does operate a shuttle down to Positano but it does not offer this the guests at the villa?? I don’t understand why and I would recommend that villa guests have the option to pay for the shuttle service.
The outdoor space was spectacular! We loved the views from the multiple(!) and the lovely small pool! We had so much room for our family group of six with 3 full bathrooms and 4 good sized and clean bedrooms - all with views of the sea and Positano. The villa is located on the property of the Hotel L’Agavi which is lovely with a funicular to take you up and down the hill and use of the beach club.

United States of AmericaIt’s not easy to access the city center (30 minutes walk downhill). There is a shuttle service but we were told it’s reserved mainly for guests of hotel Le Agave and not for the private villa.
Great views of Positano and the coast from the multiple terrace on the property. Having access to funcicular / elevator is a huge plus!! Host (Conny) was very helpful in making sure we were comfortable.

United States of AmericaThe bed in the back bedroom is not the most comfortable.
The property has a fantastic view of the ocean and Positano's downtown area. Plenty of outdoor patio space and large windows to let the sun in both bedrooms. The best part of the overall rental experience was Conny, the manager, proactively working to ensure we had a great stay well before we arrived. She met us there with the keys, gave us a complete property orientation, and was always on text if we needed help with a car, dinner recommendations, or day trip advice. She even drove us to Sorrento after our boat was unexpectedly canceled. We were thankful for all of her support during our stay.

United States of AmericaWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Positano Luxury Villas. The villa was beautiful and clean. We loved our private pool and the ability to walk into town from the villa. The concierge was super nice and helpful with any get questions we had, and arranging transportation. The breakfast was excellent, we did have to pay $40 per person as we were not staying at the Agavi Hotel. But, it was nice that we had access to their breakfast since it was only a short walk away. Overall, we loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to vacation in Positano!

The Villa was AMAZING!!! It had a huge patio overlooking the Mediterranean Ocean with a small private pool. The kitchen was wonderful to have. Overall it was fabulous- the ONLY Criticism would be that one of the bedrooms was VERY small, you need to pay extra for housekeeping and although stocked with dishes, plates and silverware they do not have any welcoming waters or fruit and they do not provide laundry detergent or dish washing soap which is just kind of a pain and not what you would expect at a place of this caliber. Overall, I would definitely stay here again but I would ask in advance to have these things arranged for us!

AustraliaThe electric stove did not work and we had bought a whole lot of food to cook and invited friends around for dinner. We contacted the manager who did arrange someone to try and fix it. They couldn’t fix it and next day came with a portable cook top. For the exorbitant money you pay for the property you expect everything to work.
The location is stunning and overlooks Positano. It has a funicular to the beach.

IndiaThere were several issues. The appliances and gadgets need a serious upgrade. The Television, Home theatre, microwave oven were atleast 100 years old. The Air conditioners were not effective at all. Our stay was for 3 nights but there was no cleaning service even once!! When you are paying EUR 5000 for just 3 nights, you'd expect atleast mopping of floors and garbage collection every alternate day. The trees were untrimmed hence there was no view from the villa whatsoever. There was no signage of the property ( Positano Luxury Villas), hence it was quite difficult to locate the property. There was no staff to carry our heavy luggage up/down the stairs which checking in/ checking out. The property is good 30 minutes walk from Postino City Centre.
The villa interior was nice.

United Kingdomit is set up as a self catering apartment (not a villa , but pictures are clear) but not a lot is provided to be able to clean up , many utensils and pans were dirty on inspection. Maintenance - the guttering leaked flooding the bathroom until fixed 3rd day, the shower does not drain taking around an hour between uses, the kitchen is old and needs a refresh, the pool was broken for 4 out of 7 days but we had another option provided thanks to Conny. The furniture is a bit uncomfortable and could be a better, mattresses were lowest quality in the twin room.
Conny met us at the location and showed us around the apartment. The views are amazing and the location and access to the beach was great. When the pool was functioning it is a nice retreat on a hot day. The hotel beach club was also a very nice place to go.
