Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWifi just about non existent. The toilet seat was cracked and very unstable (Room 110) Breakfast quite basic. No hot drinks other than coffee which I don't drink. No kettle in room.
Excellent location right next to the Pompei Scavi railway station and a few minutes walk to the entrance to the ruins. Very clean, quiet room with a mini fridge.

United KingdomAfter 5.30pm everything, and I mean everything closes. Not sure if it's a seasonal thing, but everything shuts.

RomaniaThey could provide glasses in the room and a kettle to make tea. The breakfast is very basic, nearby the hotel but does not belong to them. If you are vegan or have alergie you rather skip it
The proximity to the Archaeological Site and the parking. The room was clean.

United KingdomThe pillows could have been a bit better - they perhaps need renewing soon - a bit lumpy! But they were ok. The breakfast was a simple continental breakfast - but was perfectly adequate - we had coffee, orange juice a croissant and yogurt each morning - there were also some basic cheese, meat and bread available too. For what we paid for the accomodation it was fine.
The hotel was in a perfect spot for exploring the area and to get to both Naples and Sorrento by train very easily. Also the entrance to Pompeii itself is right along the road, so only had to pay entrance fee, no 'tour' needed! The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable and a good large bed. There was a fridge in the room, so great for a bottle or two and some snacks. Also a small table and 2 chairs if we wanted to sit and eat anything. The corridors were nice and clean and the staff all very friendly and helpful

MaltaThe maintenance work of drilling just outside our room, no access to snacks or food after breakfast. Drinks were available only from a broken vending machine. No water or tea making facilities in the room. The breakfast could do with some protein in it as it was all sweets and gluten. There were no fresh fruits either.
The staff were polite and friendly. We had a problem with the water because the water from the tap was leaking onto the floor but the receptionist provided us with another room. The cleaning personnel did a good job of keeping our room clean.

New ZealandAccommodation with kitchen 0.5km away. Not great if walking with luggage. Be aware that the main train line is a 23min walk away, whereas the local pompei scavi is the local line that stops right in front of ruins and hotel. Bed hard and hard pillows.
Close to the ruins, restaurants and local train line. Plenty of buses going yo and from city center. Very helpful staff.

CanadaDidn't like that you could not get anything to eat there after 4:00pm
The hotel itself was comfortable. But I think that they should tell you before hand that the restaurant , bar , and Pizzeria that they are not open at all in off season. It was very hard to get something to eat, although they did do a free breakfast which was really good. We were about a 15 minute Shuttle ride away from the city centre. There was lots of interesting things to see. We ate at a little restaraunt near the Basilica, it was called Na Pasta and the food was amazing. So all in all it was a good stay with a few hiccups but we enjoyed it.

SwedenThe price for what you get in return is probably not a good match. The breakfast is taken in a separate building where the options are nothing special, almost no fruits for example. It states there is a restaurant, but that is only for lunches, and the frontdesk is not the fastest to take care of the paperwork regarding checkin.
It's probably the closest hotel near Pompei ruins entrance. As that was part of my trip's goal, it turns out to be a good plus. The room is normal, nothing outstanding neither bad.

AustraliaThe walls are paper thin and you can hear chairs scraping on the tiles.
The room was clean and nice with a walk out patio with table and chair. Looks out on to the car park but once Pompei closes it empties and just campers walking past. The location was great with Pompei entrance a very short walk. There is a bar/cafe within the Hotel area.
