Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI did not like the property was right next to a club of some sorts. I think it was a karaoke club. At 9pm the music would begin and would not stop until the wee hours on the morning. Very very loud. If you need a quiet place to sleep I do not recommend. But I brought earplugs so the noise didn’t bother me too much.
The property was no to far from the private beach I enjoy, Dr’s Cave. Just a 15 minute walk. I enjoyed being just right her across the street from Harmony park so I had a good view of the oceanfront. The rooms were clean, put together, well lit, and all the utilities ( AC, fridge, microwave, etc…) worked very well. The breakfast was a good size and very enjoyable. The staff were just so friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely recommend.

CanadaNot much to dislike just an older hotel that did its best with cleanliness. Maybe an update with some of the furniture. The rooms did not have any water and when we tried to ask at the front desk we were not able to get.
I was appreciative they were able to accommodate me so late in the night when I was basically stranded in Montego Bay because the resort I originally booked messed up my reservation. The authentic Jamaican breakfast was great.

CanadaThe hotel is a bit rundown. The room had no window to speak of. Noise travels easily to the room, including VERY loud music from the next-door bar. Do not stay here if you can’t sleep through noise. The car traffic on the street in front is heavy and fast, with no pedestrian crossings and no sidewalks in some places, so I would think twice before staying here with children.
The pool and outdoor area are nice. The hotel is well located as it is in easy walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops on the Hip Strip as well as these three beaches: 1) Harmony beach park, 2) The free public beach right in front (One Man Beach), and 3) Doctor’s Cave. The Old Fort Craft Market is also close. The breakfast was simple, but sufficient. Service was okay, but nothing to talk highly of.

United KingdomCould do with a refurb as looking a little run down. Although the tablecloths at breakfast were clean, they were tatty and crumpled. One even had a big hole in it.
Location to airport, lovely little pool to have a dip in if you don't want to trek to the beach, staff extremely helpful especially as we were travelling with a child. Fridge, kettle and microwave in the room

United States of AmericaThe room was cramped, no chairs or desks, and the beds seemed smaller than double beds. Good thing it was for just one night. No natural lighting, or view of anything outdoors from room 104.
The location is close to the airport, beaches, dining and shopping areas. They made remarkable use of the very small room we stayed in. They also had a balcony with comfy chairs which allowed for a beautiful beach/sunset view. Several stars of yesteryear stayed there too. Breakfast was excellent, both in taste and service!

United States of AmericaMy room was very basic, not a picture on the wall. But that's small tings. However I think it will be much better with some kind of ambiance in the rooms. There is none.
The staff was very nice. Everyone at the front desk I encounter was helpful and friendly. The location was great, close to everything. The beach across the street or Doctors Cave not too far from the hotel. Nightlife was easy to get to. I didn't really like the breakfast but was still grateful it was provided. It was still a good solid meal. Small and quaint hotel. Very clean. You do hear the music everyone talks about. I didn't find it too bad. Put on the air conditioner to drown out the noise or listen to rain sounds is what I did.

United KingdomNot enough loungers to accommodate the number of people. Need to publicise difficulty accessing facilities for less abled visitors due to the lack of lifts. Food options limited. Small portions . Only International breakfast offered on the first day other visitors were offered Jamaican breakfast.
Booked accommodation for 3 adults on ground floor, we ended up with a small room with 2 double beds. Our neighbour a single traveller had 3 double beds to themself. I gave a month’s notice so was disappointed that my request was acknowledged but not actioned successfully. Property well situated. Plenty of ice available.

New ZealandIt is a bit noisy, but to be expected, I suppose being on the strip. Reception is up 3 flights of stairs, but they do have staff to carry your bags up and down. I would have preferred it if the window in the room wasn't opaque and the blind actually worked in order to let some natural light into the room.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was surprisingly good, and my sister and I thought that the portion size was decent, albeit the juice came in a miniature glass. The room was spacious. Good location for shopping.

United States of AmericaThe cost of water bottles is excessive. I think the cost of the hotel is high but it is a better quality hotel. Of course, the city could do a much better job cleaning up the beach and park. The hotel is directly on Jimmy Cliff Boulevard main road so it is noisy during the day.
We stayed because we needed to be in Montego Bay for 2 nights. We would ordinarily avoid staying in Montego Bay entirely. However, this is a classic hotel that dates back to the sixties with nice architectural design flourishes, beautiful wood and art. We stayed in a suite room which was nice but we could easily hear the tv in an adjacent room connected with a door. The swimming pool is small but nice and the little garden area is beautifully kept by Ronaldo and others. The breakfast is fine. Water is way overpriced but you get 2 free small bottles a day. The shower is great. The rooms are very clean with fans and a/c units. The fridge is clean and works. The front desk people are helpful and charming. The large veranda for sitting has very nice chairs and is lovely. A very nice touch is the outside security guards who will lead you across the busy street. The guard during the day is named patrick and he is very nice. I didn’t catch the name of the younger night security but he is also great. The Montego Bay Beach across the street has some decent snorkeling among the rocks but the few actual corals are dying - like everywhere in Jamaica and indeed in the world due to rising water temperatures. Montego Bay Beach public beach is ok but unfortunately has the fairly ubiquitous higglers (like Ochos Rios and Negril etc.). This hotel is only a few buildings away from the iconic The pork pit - a fantastic jerk pit staffed by really friendly and proud of their cuisine folk. Ask the older man chef and he will delightfully describe the cooking technique. Among the best jerk chicken and pork in Jamaica and I would rate it substantially better in taste and atmosphere than the touristy and famous Boston Bay pits (origin of jerk) in NE Jamaica. If you have to be in Montego Bay, this hotel is a good choice.
