Wifi coverage in the room just OK

A very nice small resort at the beginning of the strip, conveniently close to the main beaches. The room furniture was dated, but the room was large, clean, airy, and with all the required comforts, including a nice balcony onto the pool area. The resort was immaculately maintained; the gardens looked lush and beautiful, everything was freshly painted and clean. The resort is and looks indeed a bit old; but this results in a retro ambiance that has a lot of appeal. The onsite restaurant was also very good, and service was prompt and kind (which is not so common in Montego Bay and other touristic parts of Jamaica). The carpark was busy, but ample.

The only bad thing I have to say is the restaurant service was terrible! My nieces and I waited about an hour for our breakfast to arrive only to see other people arrive after us and be serviced with their entire meals. Eventually, we left, hungry and visibly upset! There was no charge for the drinks we had while we waited but I suspect that's only because one of the staff members noticed us when he was walking by to conduct business and then much later saw us leave without proper service.

I stayed at Toby's several years ago and did not give them a good review. I generally use the resort as my stop over to my main place to reside. However, I must say that Toby's has come a long way baby!!! The reception staff was amazing! I received an upgrade to my original room request. The amenities seem to have been upgraded, also. Toby's can be a vibe! My family and I really enjoyed our couple of nights.

Lovely set up. The two storey properties made it seem more personal. Very clean and in the process of being re-decorated. Food, top class! very tasty, beautifully cooked and a great variation. Staff were exceptional, friendly and really helpful.

there hotel was being improved so there was drilling from 9am to 4 pm. When I complained I received a full refund from the hotel for the day I was affected.

The lady who came in for the morning shift tried to be slick for $5 when I was checking out by saying the rate I had paid was incorrect and to pay $5 dollars extra I told her no way I already paid for my accommodation upon check-in with my credit card and that is what my booking rate is and what the guy the night before checked me in with so there for she needed to go talk to him which seem he is the manager or owner's son she got quiet and jumped back on the phone when I dropped the two key cards on the counter and walked off (be aware of Jamaicans tricky tricks) Also WIFI was an issue there
