Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe room is small, the air-conditioning is on the ceiling, so the wind blows straight to my face when lying in bed, affects sleeping.
Right opposite the station, has coin laundry etc.

AustraliaThe room windows did not open. We are travelling through spring. It is humid and warm in the rooms. We were unable to open the windows to get some fresh air. The lift was a little shaky and couldn't put 4 adults in at the same time.
I loved the location. Its convenience was great. Staff were great to deal with, very helpful. They had good luggage storage for our bags before check-in. It was also great when my husband and i both locked our key cards in our room. There were no issues from staff about them letting us back in.

Very convenient for the station, airport bus and visiting many of the sites in Nagasaki. Helpful staff. BBC World News on the TV. Room small but well laid out.

United States of AmericaThe building was set so the heat or air conditioning was the same for the whole building. This November the city was unusually warm but the air conditioning had been turned off so the building was almost 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The hotel did have a few portable evaporative coolers which worked somewhat but did raise the humidity in the room. Not the staff’s problem
Located just across the street from Nagasaki Station and right on the tram line so one could get anywhere in the city with no problems.

AustraliaCouldn't open the window or adjust the air-conditioning so the room was far too hot. Requested a non-smoking room but was allocated a smoking room. The staff said they were full, but we booked 2 months ago.
Location and the room had a fridge and amenities.

JapanThe hotel room is small. Be aware of how small it is, especially the bathroom. I am a small person, and I struggled to move around in the bathroom. Usually APA is clean enough, but the room I stayed had some dark stains on the wall paper.
I generally choose APA for a business trip, since I will only get back to hotel for shower and sleep, and the hotel room is perfect for that with a good price. This hotel is located at a very nice location, right next to airport shuttle terminal, main trai station and a tram station. The hotel has a nice looking Irish Pub on 1F, although I didnot try yet. Surrounding is many good restaurants and shopping. From the room window you can have a very nice view of the unique infrastructure of Nagasaki city.

United KingdomMy room was next to a generator that kept firing randomly and annoyed my sleep. The room was smelly probably because it's an old building. But very good value as I just needed it for a night's sleep. The pillow was horribly uncomfortable.
The staff was extremely polite and helpful. Location was great.

IrelandI did not like the fact that the window does not open - no fresh air; I had asked for a room with some kind of view - sadly there was a wall directly in front of the window, but you could get a view if you turned and twisted your head; having said that the amenities are great I did have to ask the hotel NOT to provide a new toothbrush, razor, hairbrush every day (let's try to be more EF / eco / green...)...
The location is excellent - across from the (new) train station (that is being built in Nagasaki) AND right next door to the bus station (this was the shortest distance I have ever had to walk to my hotel after arriving in a city!); I have stayed in many APA hotels in Japan, so I know what to expect - that is: cleanliness, good facilities and amenities - BBC World Service, huge TV screen, microwave and laundry (2nd floor); the bath is deceptively comfortable (looks small, but is not when you get in it); 4 (clothes) hangers in the room; check out = 11...
