A bit dusty. Aircon was not working so hotel staff advised me to just open my window, but it is noisy because hotel is in front of main road.

Exactly what we expected from previous APA hotel stays. No luxury, but everything we needed. Very firendly and helfpul staff. Probably not excellent breakfast for Japanese standards, but definitely some interesting dishes for us to explore :)

AC/Air con was not working first night. Weird noises from different places in the room and every time a door opened and closed we could hear it. People being loud at night was disturbing.

Close proximity to castle...lots of buses to take and about 25 minutes walk to the station. Bus was only 10 minutes, so that was convenient.

Bed was extremely uncomfortable. Someone threw alcohol from the window from upstairs. Disrespectful guests on the front doors putting high volume music since early morning. We kindly asked them to lower down the music and they still kept playing it on until I knocked on the door stronger. My partner was no able to properly sleep because of this situation.

For the first time, in an APA Hotel, I was not assigned a room, of the category I booked, but they tried to accommodate me in a room without an outside view. I had to protest to get the room as I booked, but they were rude, because the room I got was in front of the elevator, and not as I requested in the reservation, away from the elevator. The staff is not up to the standard of APA Hotels, in which I have stayed many times, everywhere in Japan.

Good price ,and that it is part of the APA Hotel chain.

You need to request the room cleaning and change the towel every morning. Otherwise no cleaning and no house care. Room size is quite small. Location was not good. Far from railway station.

Vending machines are your only option for a coffee. One green tea minus the stirring stick in the room? Bed seemed a bit lumpy and using the old style pillows with beans was a crude touch. Not a very quite room, I could hear hushed conversations outside. The worst part of the room was the fact the aircon was directly blowing onto you in the bed. It dried me out. No view. Nice free videos ;)

I was given a hotel room that was right next to the vending machine. Sadly, people were visiting the vending machine all the time so I heard a lot of noisy. I would recommend people to check what room they are getting and avoid a room close to the lifts or the vending machine if getting a good night sleep is really really important. For me, it was a little annoying at the start but it got quiet eventually and I was able to sleep well.

It was a great place to stay in Wakayama. I was travelling alone with a car to explore Wakayama Prefecture. The hotel did not have a car parking but had lots of nearby car parks which was great. The hotel itself is located in a very centralised area. Walking distance from the Wakayama Castle, and just a few steps away from a main shopping street. Very easy to access.
