There were music instruments that we were allowed to use! Some of the staff were very welcoming and the rooms were impeccably clean and felt very cosy - perfect amount of space for a solo traveller

My best experience in Japan all the way from booking, to pick up through to day to day help, Burlap is THE preferred place to stay. Staff is awesome - Misawa-san, Clara and the young gentleman (didn't ask his name) are outstanding.

A little far from the nearest convenience store (10min walk accounting for the icy pathways) but otherwise it was great. If you’re tall FYI for the family room - the bathroom would be a tight squeeze if you were particularly tall, the archway into the bed area is only ~172cm high, and the beds wouldn’t suit anyone over 6 foot (there’s a wall at the end). I can’t speak for the futon style of sleeping which I imagine would be better suited!

Great spot, really lovely and excellent staff who spoke good English and put in a lot of effort to be helpful and make our stay comfortable. They were especially helpful with advice on transport, organising luggage transfer via Yamato, and just general advice about the town. We stayed in a family room (just 2 people) - we were in 2 separate beds but it was a big room and very comfortable. They have a shuttle that will pick you up and drop you off to the main train station at whatever time you need, and only a 5min walk to the gondola!

It was close to skiing but a bit further away from town. The Furano Prince shuttle you could catch to town was expensive for the distance (¥500 one way)

The staff were amazing - so accommodating and just lovely. The pick up drop off shuttle when we arrived and each day the Furano Prince side of the mountain was easy and effortless. It was an easy walk home from the kitanomine lift.

We totally enjoyed our time here. Enjoyed the breakfast each morning. it was great having the shuttle that took us up and picked us up every day. saved walking up the hill. The girls on the counter were also very accommodating. Loved the hard beds. Welcome drinks every day was awesome too. wifi worked well.

it does take some time for hot water to flow through, but that’s not unusual I’ve found, just need to be mindful of it. heating is very effective but throws quite a bit of light at night.

During our stay the restaurant was closed all but one night ( I think this was probably unusual). Having said that the staff helped us hook somewhere to eat out each evening

Very friendly and helpful staff, and the onsen was just what we needed after a day of skiing. The transfers up to the gondola, although it’s not far, really helped especially with our children in tow.
