Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No warning that the "view" would be a sold wall approximately 3 feet from our window. I wasn't looking for a view of the Palace but zero was very disappointing. Also, I emailed the property 3 times before the stay; 3 months, 2 weeks and 3 days before arrival. No email was answered ot acknowledged.
Some of yhe little touches were nice - ice cream on 9th floor.

First trip to Japan, discovered that if your hotel or accommodation does not include a natural onsen (hot springs), you are missing out. Stayed in two Dormy Inns in different cities, and both were excellent. Sounds ridiculous, but I sometimes visited the onsen twice per day... Oh, and the Osaka Dormy has free popsicles!

Pillows were too flat.
Location was walking distance to Dontonbori & Shinsaibashi shopping and 2 metro stops. Love the natural hot spring bath & complimentary ice-creams, drinks n ramen at night!

Only 2 lifts for the whole building got quite cramped especially around check in/out times
Onsen was very good with a complementary yakult fridge 😋 Staff did not hesitate to change one of our rooms which initially had strong cigarette smell

The pillows in the room were very hard. Ask for a memory pillow at the reception( I found that out on last day from another guest).
Great location close to metro to explore Osaka and beyond. We did a day trip to Kyoto. Great Onsen and evening noodle supper. Travelling by metro, then Shinkasen to Kyoto. Shin-Osaka a easy station to navigate as is Umeda. Give yourself time!

Our booking via Bookings.com was misleading. We expected a bigger room and ended up having to book a extra room as we had 3 people. So it cost more than we expected. Room was too hot initially too.

The onsens are crowded and only few sitting places for using hair drying after onsen.
The available onsen 24/7, ramen treat at night, probiotics and ice cream availability for treats. Very clean, easy access to restaurants, shopping and transportation

Quite small.
Breakfast was exceptional with heaps of options and slight variations everyday (such as soup). There are enough items at the breakfast buffet so you won’t feel bored! I woke up every morning for it. The soy sauce ramen at night was also delicious. Staff were nice.

Open air onsen is a stretch. Its more just an area that doesn't have warmed air.
Obviously having an in-house onsen is great. The sauna and cold plunge pool are an added bonus. Free ramen and ice lollies are a nice touch in the evening. Room is good enough. Location is great walking distance to Dotonbori if thats what you're here for.

Decent room. Nice and comfy bed. The best thing is the location which is not far from the shopping street and restaurants. The onsen is not sparkly clean but the facility in overall is decent. They have free ice lollies and ramen at night for a little joy after the hot onsen. The breakfast is great! I love the buffet line with choices of Japanese style and western style food. I would have stayed for more nights the next time.

Don't know what happen between booking.com or hotel, but our booking detail for 4 person with our children age were not reflect on all 3 hotel check in in Japan which had never happen before when we visited Japan. Therefore, we've been charged extra fees for my daughter over 14, simply because their record shows my 2 children both age at "0". This is really not a fair for customer!!
Location and facilities are both good. Hotel also provide light meal at late night.
