Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The mattress was really thin which felt like laying on wood. Opening the female dorm door made a lot of noise.
Super friendly staff and nice that there was a free, simple but good breakfast with coffee available in the morning. Relaxed vibes, easy to meet other travellers.

The mattresses are a bit thin. The hand towels were never very dry so I didn’t like using them. I’d recommend to the hostel to provide paper towels instead
Second time coming to stay here. I liked it so much the first time I had to come back. It’s a really social hostel without being a party hostel. Feels very clean and the free breakfast provided is a nice touch.

One room didn’t have a lock at the time, I believe this is not really an issue as you are in Japan but still it would be nicer if this got fixed

The second floor beds are kinda uncomfortable if you got big luggage or you got problems to climb. I struggle so much with the door of my room 😅
Really good capsule hotel/hostel. Nice for short stay. Super clean, good bathrooms, showers and 15 min walking to Namba!

the staff was incredibly helpful and nice during my stay. i bothered them more than a few times and yet, they always accommodated my requests. the hostel is kept clean, lavatory and shower rooms as well. the common area is spacious and welcoming.

Comfortable and clean facilities, nice complimentary breakfast, all the staff were super friendly. They have plenty of umbrellas if it rains. Within 20 mins walk of Dotonburi and Americamura. ¥3000 taxi to Osaka station. Not a party hostel but everyone was friendly and social in the mornings and evenings.

Mattressess are a little thin, but you can ask for an extra one at the desk. Better get used to it in Japan ;).
Amazing value for money! Location was great for me, since I don’t like to stay in de crowded areas. 20 mins walk to Dotonbori and 20 mins to Namba Station. Very clean and good facilities.

The hostel is about 9-10 minutes walk from the nearest station which is quite a distance when you have your luggage with you. The mattress is also quite thin and you have to put the sheets and duvet covers yourself (I never use duvets at home so I don't really know how to do this lol). There are no lockers and the floor space is quite small so it could be an issue if someone brings in more than 1 large suitcase. You either have to place the suitcases on one end of the room or beside the stairs for the upper bunk (which gets in the way of the person using the lower bunk if you're the one staying upstairs). Not really a big deal, considering the price you're paying, but something to be aware of.
The location was not central and it's quiet except in the mornings since there's a school beside the hostel. The room I was assigned to was on the side where the open field is and it gets quite noisy by 8AM when the kids are playing. The common room is cozy, there's enough electric sockets for if you need to work, wifi is also fast. They provide free breakfast and coffee every morning (which I've never availed) but it's nice to know they do this. They also provide cold tea drinks in the fridge that you can avail of anytime. The bunks are also larger than average hostel bunks which adds to the comfort.
