I ordered the Hida beef dinner for one night and the fish for the other. The hida beef meal was great, the fish meal was just ok. Much less food. Also, apparently they serve Japanese breakfast (which is big and tasty) just the first night, and then they serve “western” breakfast which is just ok, and pretty small. If you can, ask for only Japanese style breakfast. Shame they don’t specify this clearly in their listing or when checking in

The location is somewhat secluded, with no nearby restaurants or supermarkets. However, we found it convenient to purchase everything we needed beforehand, ensuring a seamless experience during our stay

The ambiance embodied the traditional Japanese ryokan atmosphere, complete with both private and shared onsens. Despite its modest size, with only 8 rooms, the atmosphere was calm and inviting. The rooms themselves were spacious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating." These changes maintain the original meaning while improving readability and coherence.

The stairs to the second floor were pretty narrow. If you have heavy luggage it will be quite hard to go to the second floor with it. But it was not impossible 👍🏻

The staff was really nice and we enjoyed the sightseeing from our room. Food was really good and the onsen was cozy and peaceful. Any season is great but we definetely enjoyed the onsen with snow. It was the best.

It was most probably a misunderstanding but a cleaning staff tried to enter our room unannounced at 9:30am while we were getting ready for check out and not dressed.

The staff went out of their way to accommodate me and my partner (who are vegan) for breakfast and even made breakfast earlier for us so we could get our bus at 8am. The onsens were lovely and the surroundings were beautiful. Also, we accidentally booked some sort of suite and loved seeing a slice of traditional Japan while on our stay.

We went to Kazeya in our honeymoon. We had an upgrade for a room with a private Onsen and it was amazing. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect resting after walking days and days in Tokyo. The food in this Onsen was perfect and the staff speak good english. Everyting was perfect. Thank you so much for the hospitality

I had an incredible 2 night stay at Kazeya. The room was huge and I used the public onsen both days (both times I had it to myself!) incredible being in the outdoor onsen surrounded by snow and forests! The food was a great traditional experience. I had the standard beef meal one night and the 12 course meal the next. I ordered drinks both nights and they were delicious and very affordable. I loved it so much I bought the nightwear from them as a souvenir! Easy to catch the bus and spend half a day at the ropeway to get lunch

Kazeya was such a beautiful place, traditional japanese mansion with a super cozy private onsen. The staff were super kind, even though we misscalculated our times and end up arriving super late, they had delicious cozy dinner ready for us. Our host that night speaks spanish and made us feel super comfortable and welcomed. If we ever come back to Japan we are visiting Kazeya again. We loved it.

It was honestly amazing. I really have nothing to Complain about. The food and room/onsen were really nice and clean. It felt nice having access to a private onsen. The staff were really nice and friendly too and I was happy with the vegetarian option. The only minor thing would be that it is quite a hustle to get there but honestly the environment is worth the 1:30h on the bus from Takayama

Great facilities and staff. Large ryokan with substantial onsen and dining areas. Room was comfortable and spacious. Easy check in and checkout. Staff seemed to care about guest experience and helped us feel comfortable. Short walk to bus stop.

Food, Accommodation and staff are wonderful. The property and nearby area are exceptionally beautiful. If you enjoy a remote setting and in a traditional Ryokan Onsen, this is a must stay.
