Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

VietnamOnsen should be more light, it’s too dark with black color interior, make me feel not really clean.
I love the cleanliness and view Yotei in my room. The layout of studio room is very suitable for me- my husband with kid, enough privacy. The view is spetacular

SingaporeShared table with strangers during breakfast time. Would prefer private seatings. Cos some hotel customers were quite noisy when they sat beside us.
The purpose of this trip is to learn how to ski. Ki Niseko has a direct link to the ski area, it’s so accessible!

SwedenI didn't like that the breakfast juice was warm. I also missed more non-sweet fruit juices such as grapefruit. I missed green tea as well, as all that was available was black. I also would have like loose leaf tea rather than bags.
The staff was superb. Very nice and helpful. The facilities were also clean and very fun to spend time in. The onsen was really nice! Our overall stay was very good.

MalaysiaInspite of having fully paid for our 5-night stay in advance, we must pay an additional ¥50,000 as security deposit before allowed to be checked into Ki Niseko. It seems this was Ki Niseko new house rule implemented on 1 March 2024. We checked in on 2 March 2024. Instead of the routine swipe by the front desk of my credit card, the ¥50,000 will be charged immediately from my credit card. Ki Niseko assured that my money will be returned, but they did not take into consideration the loss in credit card charges on my part. They are only concerned about their own interest. To avoid paying the unnecessary credit card fees, I opted to give them ¥50,000 security deposit in cash. But so happened, I only had ¥30,000 in cash with me at that time. My wife has more cash in ¥en but has to go out of the way to retrieve it. I told the front desk that I am a repeat customer. That this will be my 3rd stay at Ki Niseko. Whether they would accept ¥30,000 instead for the sake of convenience. But NO, loyalty program is not a consideration at Ki Niseko! I must put up the ¥50,000 in cash or by credit card, otherwise no stay for me... Ki Niseko is entitled to any house rules they want to enforce, but their terms must be made known to me before I book and pay in full two months earlier. If I accept their terms, then I no grievances about it. But don't dictate their terms after I have arrived at their doorstep with my luggage. Instead of an enjoyable ski holiday, we left Ki Niseko with a bad taste in the mouth.

AustraliaThe price of dining in seemed a little bit extravagant to other restaurants in the area (although the area seemed expensive to eat at generally).
Location was superb - ski in ski out. Ski room concierge would clean & store our skis & boots ready for the next day, then get them out ready to use. Breakfast buffet was ample with both Japanese & western foods. Staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Organised our transfers to & from the Welcome Centre & Kutchan train station. Shuttle bus around the area every hour was very helpful. The onsen was invaluable after a days skiing along with the private onsen to relax in with just your partner.

SingaporeNothing much.
An extremely well maintained ski resort, with an awesomw view of Mount Yotei. Situated right below the foot of Mt Annapuri, and next to the Hirafu Lift with her own ski-in and ski-out valet on Level 2. My son and I stayed in their one-bedroom suite and their in-room amenities were great. Their resort was staffed with an internationalised team who can cater to multiple language needs, and they are all very warm and attentive. Their response to my queries over messaging prior to my arrival was extremely helpful and prompt to arrange the ski lesson and snowmobiling experience. I am grateful. The breakfast spread is generous with seafood, served in a fusion Jap restaurant. Although their display of the breakfast can be further thought through, the flow and the positioning aren't optimal. The narrow lane also seemed to be crowded with watching service crew. Overall, I love the room ... It was perfect.

CanadaWorth noting we were there on a long weekend, but that said, the only downside to the excellent restaurant was that it was very busy. Breakfast was most practical to-go since even arriving for open it would be a ~30min wait for a table, and dinner seemed unlikely without a reservation.
Excellent location: 1-2min walk in ski boots to the Grand Hirafu Gondola or Mountain Center Annex rental center. ~10min walk to places like Tonzanken ramen or Musu bar in the village. Super friendly and helpful staff. Convenient ski vallet service, excellent onsens, and very good restaurant (breakfast included; dinner expensive, but you get your money's worth). Also, could get breakfast to go in a box! The room was beautiful, cozy, and practical. Sapporo vending machine on the 5th floor was an amazing, unexpected added bonus!
