Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandI think direction of the bus stop wasn’t clear on website. I had to ask bus driver where to get off. It would be nice if hotel told us the actual name of bus stop to get off. There was no name of bus stop called ‘bayside hotel area ‘ which mentioned on their website. You need to get off at the Hyatt hotel bus stop. Pillow was firm and high for kids. I wouldn’t probably stay longer than 2 nights. It was perfect stay for one night.
Kids liked bank bed . Bathtub and wash part in the Bathroom is separate. Onsen spa is opposite of the hotel and convenience store was next to the hotel. Reception staff was very kind. Amenity was help yourself style. It is minimum but comfortable for short stay.

CanadaStaff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Their free shuttle buses do drop off (not pick ups) at local train station enroute to the Disney. The main floor lounge has free sodas & classically terrible Japanese coffee from 2pm onwards, can also consume your take own food there with microwaves available.

JapanAt check in I was asked for my passport. They then asked for a zairyou card and I also declined that. As a resident of Japan who is a foreigner this is frustrating. The law requires NONRESIDENT foreigners to register with hotel staff by taking a copy of the passport. As a resident of Japan with a Japanese address the only procedure you need to complete is to check to make sure that I have a registered address in Japan. YOU ARE NOT required to photocopy any of my id, nor can you refuse me service for refusing this request. Asking to take a copy of a photo ID is not only poor service - but it is also a security risk because I have no idea how you intend to use the information, and it was clear how the staff handled my information that it was not being seriously considered. As I was leaving the check in desk a photo copy of my drivers license was on open display for the next guest who could have easily seen my name and address. I had to physically move the copy out of sight. Train your staff - FOREIGN TOURIST = PASSPORT, FOREIGN RESIDENT = NOTHING. And if you do take a copy of someones passport or drivers license who is a tourist - for gosh sakes, please put it out of sight and take care of it. I was also asked to switch rooms suddenly. I was traveling with daughter and pregnant wife. Switched from a floor style room which I would have preferred because its safer if a kid falls to a twin bed room because the beds were western. lol? TIps for your staff: Ask someone what kind of room they would like and dont assume things. Dont ask to copy passports, zairyou cards, or drivers licenses of residents in Japan - they have NO legal obligation to show you that information. If you copy passports , or IDs of tourists - put them in a non visible location and treat them with care when in front of guests. Other than that - there is a smoking area that is only closed by plastic sheeting. No breakfast available onsite have to visit the convenience store next door.
Parking access was easy for coming by car. They had a nice free unlimited drink fountain that was open after check in time. Rooms were generally clean. When I asked them to destroy the copy of my drivers license that they took unnecessarily they complied without hesitation.
