Lovely authentic hotel with traditional onsen. Staff were so helpful and friendly - and the shuttle service was great - just a phone call and you are picked up from station. Beautiful views.

Although walking into the lobby the hotel looks a little dated, the room I stayed in was very modern and spacious. The staff were very attentive and spoke good English. The hotel offers a free pick up from Gora station or you can take the ropeway two stations up and walk 10 mins down the road to the hotel. The breakfast was a set menu, with a choice of juice and eggs.

It’s a bit old and out of stile. Accommodating Shuttle service but stops at 18:00 so you have to walk back to hotel after dinner in Gora village.

The location is near Kami-koen station but the track wasn't easy when you carry a suitcase. I already said when made reservation that me and my girlfriend cannot eat pork or pork-contained food, but they served us pork-contained sausage and it really tick me off as we have to wait again for another breakfast to be made. But eventually they apologize and served us a really good dessert as a form of apology.

As expected from the hotel in the mountain area. I can really enjoy the scenery and serenity around the hotel. The room is spacious and the Onsen is really great.

Everything was great.

The location was a great base to explore Hakone and the surrounding area from Gora. Definitely recommended. The amenities and the services were also excellent. In particular the attention to detail of the staff as well as the multi-course meal each night were certainly something to look forward to.

The hotel is far from the station and getting around is problematic if you don't have a car. The hotel provides shuttle services until 18:00.

The facilities and room felt dated (e.g. damaged and old furniture, mould on the ceiling), however, the service from your friendly staff was great and overall we had a nice stay.

Unfortunately to take advantage of the breakfast/dinner, booking was required the day prior. This felt quite restrictive, particularly given the distance of the hotel to local eateries. Additionally, although the hotel was very clean, it is quite dated, and the photos didn't match the facilities.

Onsen and massage chairs were great! The staff were kind, helpful and friendly. Although the room was very old and dated, it was very clean.

An absolute requirement for me is air conditioning. There is no air conditioning in guest rooms. There is a knob by which you appear to have control, but even at full blast, no air conditioning. The hotel itself - the lobby and hallways are very cool and pleasant. They brought me a fan that I saw in the massage chair area and that saved me from total utter discomfort for the whole trip. Oh - don't think you can open the window for cool mountain breeze. I opened my window for an hour or two on my first night and was attacked by mosquitoes that night (even though I closed it before going to bed.) Bed was uncomfortable. I could feel the springs. The rest of the furniture was comfortable and served its purpose.

There is a lot to like about this hotel. Very prompt shuttle service to Gora Station. Very quiet. Lovely onsen with great bath products (LABeauty was my favorite.) Crisp yukatas in multiple sizes fresh every day.

The staff was polite but not friendly. Was unable to help with simple questions. They showed no flexibility and no willingness to help.
