You have to take one elevator and walk through the lobby to another elevator to get to your room, bit of a hazzle. I don't think the curtains have been washed for a while, they had a smell to them.

Great location, on top of Namba JR station, which also means it's easy to get at taxi to and from. Short walk to Namba and Dotonbori. Room was spacious, good airconditioning unit. old, but "classy" feel to it.

Bed was a bit hard. The key for the lights was a bit annoying.

Great location in Namba. Walkable to Dotonburi and just over the JR Namba Station (this station connects to the larger Namba station which you can get to underground which was nice since we had some rain). Neighborhood felt safe to walk around at night. Staff was able to hold our bags since we had an early flight in. They also were very helpful in setting up shipment of our bags to our next hotel in Tokyo. We had a great view over Osaka from our room (floor 28). We also loved the grocery stores in the basement area below the building. Room was clean. Loved the pajamas too.

Nothing really stands out about this place, I am not a fan of kitsch Britannica and hadn't realised that was the styling, although I should have been from the reviews online. It was expensive but didn't really give me the luxury stay that I was looking for before heading off from Japan to return home on a flight. We have had some exceptional stays for a much lower price, and somehow this one just wasn't quite what I was hoping for.

We had one really lovely experience -one of the older gentlemen working there was so incredibly helpful and actually took us to the bus station next door with all our luggage loaded onto the hotel cart. He really went above and beyond and it totally made our stay, taking it from what I would call pretty mediocre for an expensive hotel stay, to absolutely exceptional and helpful in the service department. We chose it for the location, easy to get to the airport from, and lose to the shopping area of Dotonbori. It was good for this. Also the sushi restaurant nearby was totally exceptional and a lovely highlight of the last two days in Japan for us.

My only comment was the A/C. It would make noise randomly and for a few minutes.

I booked a room of the city view and it was stunning especially at night. The location was literally above Namba Walk which was convenient during our rainy stay.

They added extra beds in the jr suite before checking in, assisted with baggage transfer to another location, very polite and checkin process was smooth. card key required for access to floor access to room which is nice.

The shower temperature fluctuated a lot throughout the shower even though I wasn’t adjusting the temperature.

The city view was great. The hotel was clean and the staff helped us forward our luggage to the next hotel.
