Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe walls were very loud and there’s no privacy for the bathroom. It’s completely see through. Additionally, the bed was very uncomfortable and I could hear every person who entered their room near us as well as various alarms going off in rooms next door. The light from the hallway also shined through so it was hard to sleep. This was my least favorite hotel in Japan.

AustriaThe front side of the hotel and surroundings are very nice. On the back side is the red light district. Our bed sheets had stains on them, but they did get switched out after we asked for it. There was hair from previous guests on the bathroom door as well as in the bathtub.
Hotel is in a good location to major sights and restaurants.

AustraliaOur initial room was super super tiny. We couldnt fit both of our bags in the room without them completely blocking the walkway. It was much smaller than the photos indicated so would highly reccommend paying close attention to room size measurements in the description. I was travelling with my senior mother who has mobility difficulty so this room was not suitable at all. We paid for an upgrade to the larger executive suite. It was small for an exectucive suite but served us for the short time we were there. The bathroom was not suitable for senior persons and the shower over the tub was very high to climb into and the floor of tub was very slippery and dangerous. Even as a fully abled person, I found this very difficult to get into and out of. There were no handrails (which had been in many of the other places we had stayed). The fridge was super tiny and could only fit small number of bottles but not enough to fit any food items.
The view from our room was amazing. Very pretty city with views of hills and bay. Sheets were clean and bed was comfortable. Having a couch in our room was very convenient and added to the comfort of the stay. Parking was closeby but not onsite but still relatively convenient. The location to all main attractions was fantastic and easy to navigate. An easy taxi ride, drive or walk. Free mini bar was a lovely addition. Air purifier was provided and worked well. The room had a slight old cigarette smell so this helped keep the room fresher. They have a tea/coffee lounge area in the lobby for guests to use from 1500-2200. This was a lovely calm spot to sit and relax after a day of sight seeing. The music was calm and suitable volume and very tranquil

United KingdomIt is in the red light district. The bedrooms are old, the furniture and the carpets are worn out and the room layout is very strange. The fridge is down in the corner. You cannot see what is in it. I got down on my knees and found yellow drip marks on the shelves They have a steel and glass cubicle in the bedroom, that is for the toilet and bathroom. You can watch your partner if you like. They look like they are converted from an old surgery, office or workshop. Not sure. The rooms cost a lot. We stayed in a range of other hotels and hostels. The hostels in Nagano and Kyote were much higher standard and about a 75% less. The 24th floor in Tokyo, Shibuya cost about 25% less and were about 50% bigger and much higher quality.
The staff were lovely and very helpful. The foyer was grand the breakfast area was good with a wide range of food, clean and efficient.
