Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanThe building is a bit dated and worn. Bedside table needs to be updated for convenient charging location. I have stayed here many times and didn’t mind that these issues in the past as it used to be very affordable. However, at twice the previous cost, it is not a good value as it once was.
Beautiful beach location. Friendly and helpful staff. Buffets are fantastic.

United KingdomVery little.
Big hotel with vast range of facilities, very suitable for families. Local live entertainment in the foyer and the izakaya(‘pub’) gives a taste of Okinawa culture. Good buffets served for 3 meals a day (if required). Location splendid.

JapanThe beds are very small, and the bathroom had some mould. Although there are multiple helpful and friendly English speaking staff available, the Japanese speaking staff I interacted with were not very friendly or helpful, even though I spoke to them in Japanese. The ‘garden view room’ overlooks the parking lot and a very noisy road, although the ocean view rooms looked beautiful.
Beautiful private beach, a bouncy castle play area on the beach while you eat breakfast! Decent heated pool with a small slide. There was an arcade, although the play room wasn’t as nice as pictured.

It was close to the sea and had a great view. Unfortunately both the beach and outdoor pool was closed until mid April. Staff were real nice. There were few restaurants but prices are quite expensive. Breakfast buffet was great. However there is a convenient store close to the hotel.

United States of AmericaRooms were fairly dated, beds were awful not comfortable at all, in-room massage was performed on the uncomfortable beds with no oils with ample room in the room for portable massage tables that would take that experience to the next level, most of the food was luke warm or cold it is buffet style so its somewhat to be expected but some of the dishes really should be served warm to truly appreciate in our minds
Location stunning, staff wonderful, views amazing, in-room couples massage was very nice, old school style radio/jukebox incredible to us, and the meals included had a good variety and mostly tasty

JapanDuring our stay, there were some notable downsides that warrant mentioning. The hotel frequently caters to large groups, including high school students, elderly groups, and even a baseball team during our visit. While the excitement and noise from these groups were understandable, it made certain experiences less pleasant for smaller families like ours. For instance, the presence of 15 high school boys at the pool on one occasion made it noisy and crowded, leading us to avoid the pool that day. Additionally, high school students often gathered in large, boisterous groups on the beach, causing disturbances late at night. Another point worth noting is the limited food delivery options. Despite initial research indicating Uber Eats availability, we found that only Domino's and one café offering milkshakes provided delivery services to the hotel. This left us with the choice of dining at the hotel restaurant, which proved quite expensive even with a 10% off coupon, or embarking on a 15- to 20-minute drive in search of more affordable dining options. Lastly, the hotel's breakfast buffet was scheduled to start at 6:30. However, arriving at that time often meant that many older guests had already occupied sea-view tables. While their early enthusiasm was admirable, it resulted in limited seating for other guests. In summary, while the hotel had its merits, including friendly staff and a range of complimentary perks, it also had its share of challenges, such as accommodating large groups, limited dining options, and early table occupancy during breakfast.
There is a lot to love about this hotel. There are loads of perks and really nice little extras that they give you when you check in that really get you excited for your stay at this hotel. The breakfast buffet is pretty fantastic. It offers a wide range of foods - your traditional Japanese breakfast but also Okinawan food and a large selection of breads, fruits, juices, and coffee. Breakfast was included with our stay; however, if you do happen to miss breakfast, there is the very generous offer that you can join the lunch buffet instead, which I thought was absolutely amazing. We did this once just out of pure curiosity, and the lunch buffet was very good as well, which also included desserts. Another massive plus is if you decide not to have your room cleaned that day, they will give you a 1000 yen coupon to spend at the hotel, which again, I thought was amazingly generous. They provide you with coupons for bottles of mineral water, which you can pick up every day at the reception. They also give you 10% off coupons if you decide to have dinner at the hotel. They also give you another coupon so that you can have free towels if you decide to use the swimming pool. When it comes to the staff, I can only say nothing but absolutely glowing reviews. They were all lovely and extremely pleasant. This was the first time we had taken our baby daughter on a holiday, and thanks to all of their warm hospitality, sunny disposition, and help, it really made our holiday. The beach is also a few feet away from the hotel. I’m always slightly suspicious of the pictures of hotels; I always think that they are taken at very favorable angles. But no, the hotel is really that close to the beach, and as you eat your breakfast, you can look out over the sea; it is a fantastic view. There is also a little arcade there while a little bit dated still, I’m sure would be fun.

JapanPaying extra for the gym and only opening it from 9am is just weird. I ended up not being able to fit it into my schedule. The sinks need some sealant around the rim as a bug had hidden away in there and was difficult to get out.
The location is good for the price. It's walking or cycling distance from a lot of place. The free activities like the Okinawa music and dance really added a lot. Check in and check out were surprisingly efficient. Breakfast was better than expected with some Okinawa popular dishes, like Taco-rice and Fruit Punch, on the menu.

My family stayed in Rizzan for 2 nights. The rooms were spacious and beds made us for asleep in seconds. We felt free and relax swimming at the pools and the ocean. It keeps the history old but facilities and services were excellent. This was the second we lived in the hotel. Definitely, we will have the third time in the future.
