Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanUnfortunately, the gym and bath are for members only. This may not be unusual for fancy hotels, but it’s worth mentioning for guests who are used to such amenities being included in your stay. The Bamboo Lounge is gorgeous, but one seasonal cocktail runs you ¥2000 and a cup of coffee about ¥1500. It was worth it to enjoy the atmosphere, but be aware that this is the price tag you’re looking at. Surely it’s not an issue for tourists who are doing the USD to yen conversion, but it feels steep for those of us getting paid in yen.
The lobby is beautiful and clean, and the room is spacious with very comfortable beds. All staff were exceedingly kind and helpful, despite a language barrier with my cousin who speaks zero Japanese.

KuwaitThe room was too hot, and I couldn't get the AC to work. I think it's because they turned the whole building AC off during winter. Pillows weren't that comfortable, but I managed to use the blanket instead as a pillow since I didn't need to cover myself when it was really hot.
Staff were really friendly, especially the one who calls the taxi he's pretty funny.

AustraliaWe stayed for our honeymoon after I had convinced my wife of how enjoyable this hotel is from my previous trips. The selling points were the lounge, garden, room comfort, and additional facilities like the gym etc. During our stay, the gym/spa were closed. Then we were informed that the garden was also closed. In our room, the bathroom lights would flicker, and when we showed a video of this to staff they told us not to worry about it. Despite me prepaying my room, staff took a large deposit on my card as if the room wasn't paid, then tried to charge me for the room again at checkout. The staff member even took my card and tried to place it in the eftpos machine without showing me my bill, despite me asking for it. When I refused and finally got to see the bill I was able to identify the double billing and another staff member resolved it for us. We then requested a taxi, but staff never actually called for it - only when we spoke to the concierge at the front door (outside) was a taxi finally requested. Because the hotel took a full room charge as a deposit, even though we had prepaid, we ended up paying nearly $40 in international transfer fees that was an unrecoverable expense due to billing issues with this hotel. The time loss on resolving billing impeded our plans for the day as we ended up being at this hotel 45 minutes longer than expected. I know from my previous stays that at its best this hotel is excellent, but when I pay full price for half the facilities and service like the above, the value proposition doesn't stack up. I hope the hotel is able to revert to its former quality.
This is my third stay at Sheraton Miyako in Minato. As always, the rooms and lounge are very comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent. Good dry cleaning service, though they won't do dresses.

United States of AmericaThe room was a little worn. The carpet was unraveling and had a dirty look in the traffic area's. The bedside spot lights were not working so it made it very difficult to read in bed so we moved a floor lamp over next to the bed to be able to read at night.
The location of the hotel was perfect for our visit. It was a 15 minute walk to our daughters home. The view was amazing and the staff was friendly and helpful. The bed and pillows was very comfortable and the noise level was very quiet.
