Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Location to the beach and to local Ginza street with some great eateries. Central to many points of interest. Area was very quiet ( mid April) which was exactly what we needed. Crystal blue water, white sand & comfortable accom with private onsen

ThailandThe hotel is quite old and has a wooden structure. Footstep noises from other rooms especially from the above bothered us a little but it was not a problem.
Private outdoor natural hot spring inside the room. We could see the sky and outside trees partially good for privacy reasons for guests when using the private onsen. It was quite clean as well.

SingaporeNo signage within hotel to carpark nor directions from carpark to hotel lobby. Difficult to park car if allocated inside corner lot. Public baths rundown. Male outdoor pool empty.
Private onsen in room has nice outdoor setting and layout. Water is good. There is a small terrace leading to the outdoor onsen with separate toilet and bathroom at side. Toilet room and bathroom are cold spots, fortunately toilet seat is warm! Overall room looks good.

GermanyThe room is very large but dated. I loved the private outdoor bath. Only a few meters from the beach. It takes about 15 minutes with the bus from/to the station. The bed was a bit firm, but more comfortable than in other hotels in Japan.

50m from the beach, a big room with a foot bath on the balcony, an on-site Onsen, free parking, helpful staff and it has a distinctive Japanese character. It’s a little worn but that’s no problem. If it rains, you have the Onsen, table tennis and pool and a spacious lounge.

United States of AmericaThe only thing I didn't like was the too small otearai (toilet room), too small even by Japanese standards, I think. I felt soOOO squished and kept bumping my head on the wall in front of me when I stood up from the toilet seat. I'm 5 feet 6 inches tall.
Breakfast wasn't part of the deal, shucks! I loved the shuttle to and from the train station, thank you! Loved the great location, right on the beach! And the onsen! And the helpful staff! And the tatami room!

SingaporeThe onsen facilities could be improved. The outdoor onsen could seem abit creepy at first as there are buildings around (though windows are blurred and closed). But the outdoor onsen is hotter and seems cleaner than the one indoors.
Great location - near to the beach, family mart, food options, and to a visitor centre where you can rent bikes. The room is abit dated but it's clean and big. My room had a small patio which was a nice touch. You can also use the onsen. Staff was helpful too.

United States of AmericaThe hotel is big, but super run down and in need of a lot of updates. The parking area was filling with knee high weeds. The hallways are really dirty. The shoji screens were patched and dirty. The bathroom had a very smelly tiled room with just a toilet. The only place to shower/bathe is outside next to the hot tub. It has privacy screens so that’s fine, but if the weather was bad, it would be a bummer. It was really sunny and hot weather when we spent the night, so unfortunately the “relax room” adjacent to the outside patio was baking hot, with no A/C, so we didn’t get to enjoy.
Located right across the street from the beach, this hotel was convenient. We booked a large Japanese style room with private hut tub because we have tattoos and hotel policy said no tattoos, however there was nobody at the hotel, so we probably could have used public tubs if we wanted. The Japanese room tatami mats were in good shape, but they put western style beds in the room, so I can’t speak to condition of Japanese bed mats. The tatami mat areas were air conditioned. They provided nice yukatas. The hot tub was SUPER HOT.

JapanThe room given to us had some problems. The bathroom smelled and the bidet didn't work. The staff did make the order to fix it but the next day it started dripping from the chain. It was a little dirty outside of the room. Overall the room felt like it needed more maintenance. You can also hear a lot of sounds from neighbor rooms.
The place is very comfortable if you want to go to the beach. There is a game area and kitchen which are very nice to enjoy. The bed is Western style and nice for a good rest. There is a relaxing bathing area, a ryokan. If you prefer a shower, this room does not include one.
