Unique stay with a nice Ryokan atmosphere without breaking the bank. Beds were comfortable and the room was fairly large. The onsen on the first floor was relaxing and the free ice cream, pyjamas and robes were a nice touch. Location was great as well, walking distance from train station. Was able to store bags before checkin and after checkout at the front desk, they kept them together as a group and locked all together.

Need to highlight that breakfast is bento (cold food), 3 same options for all days, and not big set. Not recommending using the breakfast service for multiple days. Room was bit dusty after room cleaning as well. Small bathroom.

Room was well-equipped. Coffee machine in the room. Staff were helpful and spoke English. Good location as metro, local train and bus stops are close.

location is perfect, just a mins walk to metro and lots of bus routes pass by. There are lots of restaurants open until last night as well. Room is also spacious compared to the normal standard in Japan.

We booked a standard Japanese style room for 4 persons, and although the room was nice it was small for a family of 4 with suitcases. I would recommend 2 of these rooms for 4 people.

The staff were very polite & helpful, the location was convenient and the onsen was fantastic after a long day of sightseeing.

A bit far from Kyoto atation. 5mins walk from bus stop and train station, may be hassle if carrying luggages.

Room size is big. Nice experience of Ryokan style bedroom and tatami beds. Breakfast bento choices are nice, but don't expect to have more options like western food as this is a Japanese themed hotel. Loved the onsen experience.

The room we had was small for 3 adults and 1 child but we survived.

Friendly staff, great location to transport and attractions. Clean rooms, the onsen was amazing, especially the complementary ice creams after relaxing. Lift to every floor. Excellent laundry.

It didn't have big-sized pyjamas/kimono for the onsen available for larger people. Also, it must have been a bit dusty because my friend had an allergic reaction after sleeping in the room.

I liked the location, the staff and their onsen, which was smaller than I expected but good nonetheless and relaxing. The room was better and bigger than I expected and it was really easy to get everywhere from our hotel.

Not much around the hotel specifically but it is a reasonable walking distance to more interesting areas.

Decent location on local subway line and closer to Kyoto Station than it appears. Really nice room and facilities.

Honestly, can't say anything bad

Nice Japanese style room, but with modern facilities. Futon beds are comfortable to sleep on because tatami mats are quite soft; staff prepares your beds every night and puts them away in the morning. Onsen is decent for a city center; high quality shampoo and skin care products, Dyson hair drier, etc. Free ice cream :) Very well located, right next to a subway station, bus stops, very close to shops and restaurants, and about 20 min walk to Gion.

The room has no view at all.

we liked the artificial onsen and the Japanese style room is spacious. we also liked the small gift shopping area and its new year activities like soba eating and sweet wine.
