Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaPricey for the value it offers! It ranges from a 4-star hotel, but is not! internet not working in the rooms, I don't like the restaurant options and they offered average food.
The venue is very nice, private beach, a big pool, a clean room and the helpful staff.

ItalyThe hotel is far from everything. To reach any restaurant or shop you need a tuk tuk, and the prices at the hotel were very high compared to the rest but you end up having to eat at the hotel anyways because there are no other options but to move with the taxi. For example a juice costs 1000 - 1500 LKR while in any other place would be around 500. Pay attention at the reception because we had some problems : we had booked 3 rooms but they wanted to give us 2 for a higher price. Luckily we had our reservation reciept and were able to solve the situation after some discussion. Also the Wifi basically is non existant. There is 0 wi-fi in the rooms, it’s only present in the lobby and by the pool and it doesnt work great.
The beach is very nice, right in front of pigeon Island. The rooms were big but old. The staff was very nice, especially those working in the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was pretty good with pancakes and french toasts too. Also the dinner was pretty good and it included a grilling station with fish and meat. On the beach they were building new beach ombrellas and more mantainance work was being done to improve the hotel.

DenmarkNo spa, no wifi in rooms, no gym, no possibility of paying with visa. The rooms did not look like the pictures. The rooms were very worn down and they were not 120 m2. The staff did nothing to help when we had requieries about facilities in the area. Breakfast and dinner much at hotel down the beach which we found out when the hotel ran out of food

AustraliaThe accommodation is in need of a good clean and renovation, especially in the bathrooms. It was advertised as having internet available, but there is no internet access in the rooms. Everyone has to sit bunched up together on couches in the open-air shared lounge area, which means you can't even make a cup of tea to drink while catching up on the news or family messages or work emails. An extra pillow was only begrudgingly made available.
The pool is large, clean and fantastic for swimming. Direct access from the property to a nice quiet beach. The gentleman in charge of dining was helpful and friendly.

Sri LankaGuidebook (published this year) said rooms recently renovated, but my room was run down — ceiling in bathroom was water damaged, room in need of new paint, balcony railing rusting (which I realize must happen fast in this climate). Food was fine, but not as good as Sri Lankan food can be, even when it’s not fancy. Buffet dinner was disappointing one night but much better the other.
Great location right on the beach near Pigeon Island. Lovely view from my room. Nice thatched shade structures on the beach, beach almost empty. Large well maintained pool.

United KingdomThe poor maintenance intrusive loud music in the dining area and above. Terrible coffee. the over cooked meat on the bbq- so wasteful the change in the price from the quote on booking .com - I suspect a family run business overseen by a stern matriarch who rules the front desk.

GermanyThe overall impression is that the hotel is not well maintained. The stairs to the fitness room (that is not operational) are rotten and may fall down - the walls around the complex are moldy and there is a lot of mold all around. It must be refreshed. It looks amazing during the night but during the day not so much.
We got a room on the second floor with view to the sea which was refreshing

United Kingdomthe hotel is starting to become very tired and dated ,requires a lot of work , new towels and bedding would are required ,half the kitchen equipment is faulty or does not work , leading to cold or re-heated food served which is charged at premium rates over priced, so we eat out, not enough sun beds when the hotel is only half full , 20 sun beds and around 50 rooms do the maths, no gym, no beach bar and no ayuvada service which are all advertised on the PIBR webb page.
have used this hotel many times over the past 10 years , the room we get given 301 is ideal for us , the location is wonderful with a fantastic beach
