Often there was noone at the reception and that was a problem because I had to borrow towels and slippers from reception before the sauna closes. Also, when I wanted to give back the key of the elevator that leads to sauna, was the same problem. Noone at the reception. I asked other people who worked there to help me. Also, I was waiting for someone to appear at the reception when I wanted to check out. Finally the older lady came and waved me to go to restaurant with her to check-out there instead of at the reception. She seemed to be obviously annoyed by my presence or by being too busy.

Nothing at all

Everything was excellent, great room, friendly staff, easy parking, big room. Dinner was exceptional and breakfast was normal continental. All very good, would definitely stay here again.

I was burnt in the hamman shower! I think that when being shown the room, the staff should actually show you how to use it as signage can be interpreted in different ways. There wasn’t the clarity on how to work the shower. Finally and I hate to say this but it would have been nice if the owners would have had a more cheerful disposition.

I loved its quirkiness. We were greeted by a lovely, lovely lady who was extremely smiley and friendly. She immediately made us feel welcome. I loved the feel of the hotel, our room was epic! Everything about the hotel has encouraged me to return.

The room on the top floor was more than ample for my needs. The staff were helpful and the breakfast buffet was really good. As a motorctcle traveller the secure garage provided was exceptional and able to house multiple bikes. It offered tools and a paddock stand which was really useful. The garage was a big plus on top of an already very nce hotel.

The young woman who checked us in was very friendly, and unfortunately the only friendly staff member we encountered. Later, we met the owner and she was not friendly at all, the waitress at the restaurant was polite, but totally not engaging and upon check -out we met the other owner, who wasn't especially friendly either. The food in the restaurant was average and over priced and very salty. It wasn't clear which services from the wellness center were included and which ones were not, so we didn't use that. The whole idea of this hotel is absolutely brilliant: the execution could have been much better. Also note that the name of the hotel on our booking (Relax and gourmet hotel) is NOT the name posted on the hotel, so we had a hard time finding it. And also know that parking right in front of the hotel is limited, but there is enough space down the hill on the public street (for free).

Breakfast was very good and a large variety of items were offered. We also really enjoyed the hamman in the room (a steam cabin), especially since this was near the end of our Europe trip and I ended up with a cold. The steam helped me take care of it. The location is also beautiful and rather convenient and I loved the books and decorations in the hotel. It was convenient that there is a bar and restaurant on site, although I found it expensive and our food was really salty.

Hotel has an original vibe and atmosphere. Professional multi language personel, and a good kitchen with some great food. If you stay there you have to eat dinner there.

the rooms are a short walk from the hotel itself and there is no elevator should you stay in the upper floors. some of the staff think too highly of themselves. spa bath difficult to operate. two single mattresses in the double bed.

Personally I, suffering from my back, found my bed a little uncomfortable (too hard), but that should not give a lower score to the total experience.

The owners and staff have a keen eye for giving you that welcome feeling. It made our stay one to remember and pleasantly wonderful. The rooms are small but comfortable and the view is just awesome. You'd think you're in a castle tower! We went for a Birthday celebration and the staff made it a BD party, with fun, tears of laughing and the BD girl extremely happy!!

The coffee you use -- Douwe Egberts? -- is not very good. Perhaps consider another brand? The floors of the shower stalls are dangerously slippery. I suggest you place a rubber anti-slip mat in each. That is a low-cost item that will contribute greatly to safety.

There is a 15 euro per night charge for the dog. It wasn't clear in advance that we needed a special, tiled room to accommodate the dog. No WiFi or 4G reception in the room. The owner blamed it on the municipal provider, which I didn't find very classy.

Excellent location in picturesque town. Very friendly staff. Nice spacious room, with fridge, mini-bar, microwave (but no coffee or tea maker), good bathroom. Free and sufficient parking. We didn't use the spa, so we can't comment. Nice breakfast (but bad coffee from Douwe Egberts machine)

The walls were paper thin, which is not the best when you like quiet in your room, especially at night. You only had electricity by using the room key in a special look in the room. This, coupled with the fact that heating is electricity based, is not so convenient during cold months.

It was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Location. Location. LOCATION !
