Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaSmell of cigarette I think coming from the next room .Noisy from the outside
Great location just outside of the fanous Blue gate of the old Medina. The hotel is outdated and is only ok if you are out most of the time. The breakfast was pretty descent with good Moroccan coffee, and a few varieties of bread with some spread. A bit noisy cause it’s next to a mosque and you can hear people talking all the time form the outside: I would say il won’t be staying in this hotel if I ever get a chance to be back in Fes. I only booked this hotel for 2 nights since the first day I was out all day for an 8 hours Chefchaouen tour . The next day a walking tour inside the Medina and then left to go to Casablanca.

GermanyThe room was dirty, dusty floor and furniture, everything broken especially in the bath, there was no soap and I asked for for it the reception guy said he'd bring it in 5 minutes, he just ignored. Too close to the mosque so every night between 3:30-4:30 Azan and praying too loud and the room not isolated, the neighbors are also too loud till after midnight. So you must forget sleeping! They also charged me city tax which wasn't in the pricing info in Booking.com, so that's also not okay!
I only liked the location close to medina.

CroatiaThe hotel is open so stray cats go in and sometimes they poop all around. Some rooms don't have a window to the outside but to the atrium of the hotel.
Location is great - right at the entrance of medina. They have a wonderful roof terrace with nice prices. You can see that the hotel is a bit run down but that is why you pay how much you pay....

NetherlandsFirst and foremost the staff is absolutely superb. Very helpful, fair people and great company. The value for money is very right, given the space, the location and the facilities. The great rooftop terrace is the perfect place to relax after spending time in the somewhat hectic medina, which is adjacent to the hotel.

ItalyI got the hotel with a deal on Booking (13 euros per night), so I was not expecting much. But the whole place is like in a ruin, with no service whatsoever. I was there for 3 days and most of the time I found no staffers in the hall. The room was vey spacious, but the bathroom was very narrow, with no window and a very bad shower (the kind without a box, you just flood the whole bathroom), with its shower head spraying in all directions and not a drop of hot water. Besides that, I was not the only denizen of the room, for I spotted (and finally killed) a medium-sized cockroach (would have talked about this with the staffers if I could find one). The ground floor is closed and it seems in a ruin. The worst part of my stay, however, was the payment. Contrary to what Booking.com says, they would not accept credit cards, but only cash. In addition to that, the staffer to whom I gave my money promised he would give bring me 60MUD change, but he never showed up (and, guess what, I was unable to find him anywhere, so he still has my money). I KNOW that the hotel was very cheap and I wasn't expecting too much, but this IS too much on the other side.
This hotel si very close to the Blue Gate, so the location is perfect. Apart form a small prayer house, with its calls for prayer very early in the morning, the neighbourhood is quiet and not too hot in the summer. The room I had was very spacious and air conditioning functioned well
