The linen cleaning could be done better since the bed sheet contain some stains.

Staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms have the traditional Caribbean style home feeling.

Not much to complain about, the restaurant never anticipated, running out of coffee so it was about a 10 to 15 minute wait for a new pot. I wasn’t the only one most of the diners were lined up and waiting for coffee.

Room was wonderful. It was a good location, but a pretty long walk to the beach. Restaurant was small, but adequate for the hotel. Breakfast was included nothing to brag about. It’s a walk from reception to your room, if walking bothers to you, particularly uphill note that when you make a reservation.

Everything was great but the walkway up to our room was steep and could be difficult for an older person or one with bad knees/hips. Oh, the mosquitos are pain!! Bring bug spray.

Some of the villas are quite a long trek to the reception and pool area. The pool water was very cold.

The breakfast was good but it would have been nice to have a little variety from day to Day especially with hot foods such as eggs.

Some of the bathrooms were a little dated compared to others that were remodeled after the hurricane, but the size and private locations more than made up for that little detail.

The location was perfect, and we preferred the styling and privacy better than the more expensive yet generic and commercial looking Orient Bay hotel. We were amazed by the extensive breakfast buffet included which greatly increased the value and delight of our stay at la Plantation. The kitchen area and large shaded terrace were great additions to our room and we loved their pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful and they were able to accommodate our early arrival. Definitely will recommend to others and come back to visit on our next stay in Saint Martin!

I liked everything.

The staff was excellent. Especially the breakfast crew. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome at the hotel and on the island. They are very knowledgeable about places to go, the best beaches, even who to see when we get to the beach to even make out stay unforgettable. The front desk girl, Saoude, was as good and welcoming. Just because of them, I am already planning my next trip.

No concierge service I could see as advertised on their website. They offered a rental car service but I had no need of that. They told me where to buy water and they booked my taxis, both of these were helpful. But they couldn't give specific recommendations for tours or activities so I pretty much winged everything else. And OMG, the mosquitoes. I have no idea where they were coming into my room from, I was so careful with the front door, and yet somehow they kept getting in and bit me so many times. Mosquito netting shown in hotel photos was not up, maybe they only put it up in high season? Getting to the room with luggage was a bit of a struggle.

The location to the beach was excellent. The good all you can eat breakfast offered many options, the only thing missing was another starch (like potatoes or hash?) beyond cornflakes for those with celiac / who have to eat gluten free. Studio was beautiful and roomy, more than ample for more person. Bathroom was lovely, though it was strange that you had to lock the door to keep it closed. Staff pleasant. Nice touch to get you started with a big bottle of water since you can't drink the tap water in St. Martin. Restaurant on site, Cafe Plantation, does an excellent dinner service. Didn't get a chance to try them at lunch.
