Although not a real problem, all the rooms could benefit from tea and coffee making facilities. Also the downstairs toilet facilities should be cleaned more often and could certainly have a means of shutting and locking the doors!

Location was perfect and the staff were excellent and able to assist with any questions and requests. The room was comfortable, if a little tired. Fresh towels and room cleaned every day. breakfast was good, with a good selection of food, both hot and cold.....

Breakfast options a little limited and ran out, however the staff were topping up as often as they could, noise from works next door woke us very early but these are small things and the hotel was very good otherwise

All staff were wonderfully welcoming and friendly, perfectly located, I’ll definitely stay again and will bring more family. The reception staff were so lovely and very helpful, the hotel is beautiful and very well maintained overall.

The rooms very hot not upto date with separate air units in each room. Windows open but be warned that, who knew mosquitoes are around on the winter???

Location just on top of hill in the square. Love the old world charm hotel over 100+ years old!

Breakfast was very monotanous, no variation the whole stay. We were permanently having to ask for glasses, cups and refills of the food and drinks available regardless of arriving early or lateish . Very grumpy breakfast staff more intent on getting you out than ensuring refills and crockery etc was sorted. Sad as the breakfast room has panoramic views.

Great location. Lovely big room and comfy bed. A bit dusty and as the door didn’t fit well a bit noisy.

Great location near restaurants and historic sites. Busses nearby. Fantastic view. Very pleasant breakfast on the rooftop with gorgeous view and the best coffee ever.

There was nowhere to relax, and have a cup or tea or coffee at the end of a busy day. Truly missed kettle facilities in the room. Yes, there is a coffee shop attached to hotel, but closed at 5 pm and it wasn't the sort of place to relax and kick off one's shoes!

Staff were all smiling, very informed, and helpful. The breakfasts were great. Loved the touch of Easter eggs on breakfast table on Easter Sunday.

Air conditioning unit didn't work, made a lot of noise with no airflow so staff supplied a fan. The bathroom was tiny, I could sit on the toilet, wash my feet in the wash basin and wash my hair in the shower all at the same time.

Location, location location, breakfast was good, staff were very friendly.

I loved the location, just a minute walk to Upper Barrakka Gardens and other Valletta's main attractions. A very clean hotel and filling breakfast served on the top floor need to be mentioned too. The kind reception staff made us feel very welcome.

We stayed over the weekend and our window was facing the street, it was quite noisy. On saturday 7am builders started the work next door :( Also, an old tap needs replacing and the water from the shower was flooding the floor in the bathroom (room no 8). Would have been nice to have a kettle in the room with some coffee/tea.

Beautiful old building dating back to 16th century. Amazing location, next to Barraka gardens! Kind and helpful staff. Good breakfast

The decor of the hotel is a bit tired and could do with a refresh. In one of our rooms there was also no shower curtain which meant the bathroom floor was prone to being wet.

The hotel was very well located for attractions in Valleta and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast also provided a good choice of food. The beds were very comfortable

No kettle / tea making facility in room . Old type large door keys which can open more than one room door .( On a previous visit I picked up my friends door key by mistake but it still opened my door ) . Passage ways are dimly lit and could benefit from better lighting .

This hotel has the best location in Valletta . Only a short walk from the bus station and centre . On the doorstep of the Barrakka Gardens . Very friendly staff and reasonably priced if all you want is a convenient base to explore Malta . Free safe

Sometimes the smell of smoking comes up from the cafe below.

Close to the city centre. The central bus station is in walking distance (5 mins). Nice view from the top of the building (breakfast is served here): you can even see Mdina if the weather allows.
