We chose this location for its proximity to places like the Zocalo, Bellas Artes. Among all the hotels and AirBnbs that I used during my one-week trip to Mexico. This hotel had the best hot shower.

The firt room we were given (in the corridor with no window more than a door/window) but they were very helpful in changing rooms on request.

Location is great! (only a 200m from El Zocalo and right in the middle of the Casco histórico). The room was nice and big (after we asked for a better room as the first one was small and with no so much natural light). Good service overall.

Excellent location in the historic centre - just few block from Zocalo. Excellent street food places just within few steps from the hotel. Good price for the room. Excellent and helpful staff.

Although nothing happened untoward, would advise caution when walking along Republica de Cuba late at night as it looked sketchy. Instead walk along Donceles.

Very short walk to Zacola. Friendly and helpful staff at reception. Room cleaned every day to a good standard. Comfortable bed. Would recommend.

Hotel Amigo Suites is conveniently located near the zocalo/central plaza and the bus stop. Many plazas, places of interest, and restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel. We checked in late at night c/o receptionist Roberto who was very helpful with our request for a late check-out. Frontdesk is open 24 hours. Paulina helped us with our check-out and luggage storage. The receptionists were fluent in speaking English. The room itself and the beddings are comfortable. There are several surfaces to put things on, although it's not the same for points to hang clothes on. Wifi connection is fast. One opportunity area is the strong smell of paint and/or varnish all the way from the reception area and even in the room. It is inconvenient especially for someone like me who has asthma. We had to open our door and/or window, so as to minimize the strong smell.

Basic furniture and in poor condition, towels in poor condition, nowhere to hang clothes, light on all night outside room and thin curtains. Fine for one or two nights.

No bar or place to meet other travellers

The room meets all needs, is simple, functioning, wifi was good, quiet. There are no frills about the room, but if you just want somewhere close to the historcial centre then it suits its purpose. There isn't much of a hostel vibe or opportunities to meet fellow guests. Shower provided reasonable pressure with hot water. Room was a little stuffy, but there was a fan which helped to circulate the air.

The wifi in my original room was weak which was a problem as I work remotely. I asked to be changed to a room with better wifi and the staff were helpful with this. The wifi improved in the second room.

The room I was given had a lovely balcony looking over the street. I had asked for a room with a window and the staff arranged that as well as an early check in. The staff were very helpful at all times and the room was large and airy. Excellent hot shower and great location. Very comfortable bed.

It's was somethings missing; someplace to hang our clothes and towels to dry, power outlets in-between beds, nightstands, a small refridgerator for a cool drink and medicine, a hotwater heater to make some tea or coffee, the big bed was ok but change the other two. The TV and the safe did not work.

Location just near the Zocalo and metro stations. 24-hour reception, English-speaking and polite staff, checked us in in the early morning. Leaving luggage after checkout is no problem too. A rooftop terrace - not very fancy, but better than nothing
