Beautiful new(ish) hotel with a lovely garden and mosaic walkways. For us we liked the fact the room was a good size, clean, had a fridge, coffee maker and good A/C. Also a ceiling fan if that's what you prefer to use. Oh and for once in Mexico, lots of hot water in the shower. The area is nice and quiet as it is a little ways out from the centre of town but it is an easy walk to central Bacalar. Okay, we have never met a more friendly, helpful hostess. Flor went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed including arranging a taxi the morning we departed. This hotel is her pride and joy and she takes it very seriously in making sure her guests are taken care of. And for those whose Spanish is limited her English is flawless.

Beautiful, quiet location. Each room is Surrounded by beautiful gardens, and a nice patio with bistro style table and chairs. There is a coffee maker, fridge, and toaster oven, to create simple meals, with all the necessary plates, bowls and cutlery. The attention to detail in both the room and the surrounding grounds creates a peaceful atmosphere. Partial views of the lake are visible from the upstairs rooms. There is a restaurant within walking distance and access to the lake is nearby as well. Location is out of town, but nearby. In 20-25 minutes (walking)you can be in the thick of things. Just a few minutes drive with car. The hosts are wonderful! Flor and Simon care deeply about providing you comfort, rest, and relaxation in a quiet beautiful environment. They are prompt in responding to questions and concerns. Really, a lovely place to stay!

It is far from the city. It is a lot to walk, we rented a scooter so that was perfect. Recommended to have transportation

The view to the lake was obstructed with trees but nothing they can do about that

Friendly and helpful hosts, beautiful new facility. Slightly overpriced in my opinion. You may need a mode of transport to get around. I rented a bike in town but if leaving before sunrise or coming back after sunset, there are no lights on the street and the road is not great. It was a a challenging and adventurous experience.

The apartments are located in the beautiful garden. The owner is extremly helpful. There is a possibility of refrigiraterand free water Coffee maker in the room. Rooms are very clean, hot water in the shower. The best accommodation in our journey in Yucatan.

There’s nothing we didn’t like about the property. One thing to note is that it takes a 25 min walk to bacalar town where all the restaurants and bars are. The good part of it: you’re in pure nature :)

The host is super nice and helped with anything we needed, which was very lovely. We felt very welcome!

The only thing that was not so great, is that there is no closet and we brought a lot of clothes. There are only two shelves and a few hangers in the bathroom, where everything gets pretty moist. Half of one shelf is occupied by the safe. And the streets are tough to drive, yes. But that was the case everywhere we went. The owners care about it and have the roads bank up. It just does not improve much, because apparently no one knows how to do it right 😂

Flora and her husband welcomed us so warmly 🥰 this was the best place I could have picked for our one week stay in Bacalar. We love it quiet and peaceful and don't mind to walk or drive a bit when we want some action. It was a shame we had to cancel one night, because we decided the drive to Cancun airport would be too stressful and long for the morning of New Year's Day before our flight back. We were handed everything we needed and asked for, sometimes we didn't even had to ask. It was also great to hear about some cultural details and having questions answered. Rooms were very clean and were cleaned daily. It's easy, just leave a little tip every other day. The shower, smart TV and AC worked just great and the beds and pillows were very comfy. The balcony very welcoming and we had a slight view of the lagoon. The whole surrounding of the rooms and the details where very cute and magical.

The owner Flor was easy to reach on WhatsApp, helped us find the best restaurants in town and booked a taxi to the bus station for us. As we don't speak Spanish, this was extremely helpful for us. Also, she is an extremely warm and welcoming woman.

The roads in the area are very rough.

Lovely cosy place. The hostess is very sweet and helpful with both tips and practical stuff. We enjoyed the balcony a lot and the clean fresh rooms. Easy to go swimming by the nearby hotel. The other very nearby hotel La Casa Lamat serves a lovely breakfast and lunch. They also rent out kayaks , which we discovered too late, but clearly where I would go to rent if I come back. Much better than in town.

Pretty little hotel near the lagoon and just outside the town center. Flor is a lovely hostess and very kind. Hotel has everything you need and is a quiet oasis in Bacalar. Perfect place!

Nothing, we liked everything

The beds were super comfortable and the host super nice and always aware of her guests and what they needed. Very helpful and recommended a lot of cool things to do in the area.

The recommended taxi driver was way more expensive than any other taxi drivers. Don’t drive with him, just choose randomly any other taxi.

Host was really kind and supportive. The food recommendations were awesome.

They may want to add a suitcase stand or somewhere to put your open suitcase so it doesn't have to be on your bed. And maybe improve the front yards a bit.

This is almost a new place, with high ceilings and lots of windows. It's VERY comfortable, and has great air conditioning. I was hoping for a better view as one of the photos showed a view of the water, but there was a palm tree in the way. If they could move the palm tree, there would be a much nicer view, lol. I requested a different room for the 2nd day, and the manager made the switch! The location is pretty good as you can just take a walk down to the beach, or hop in a $2 cab ride to the public park/dock along the water. The Manager/Owner was VERY QUICK to respond to anything I asked about or needed and offered some great suggestions of places to go - including a massage parlor for approx $40.

We loved everything! Maison is brand new guest house with 6 rooms only what makes it really special. Located in beautiful garden full of singing birds🙂 Rooms are specious, beds very comfortable, everything spotless. And on the top of that is Flor, the owner and wonderful host. Too far away from the center. 30 min to walk but with a car no problem.

Flora was wonderful. her spirit was everywhere. She gave us so many helpful tips concerning restaurants, breakfast and trips to go. The rooms were very clean, in the morning you could make yourself a coffee or tea. we could park our car on the street in front of the house. Thanks once more Flora.

A bit more lagguage place. The road to the hotel was very bumpy, but this is common in Mexico anyway.

The hostess was very kind and helpful. We got a lot of good advice. The shower was perfect, the bed was comfortable. There was a small area to sit out in a tastefully arranged garden.
