The place is super cute and quiet. We had a room on the second floor, all the way in the back, and had a big window that overlooked the trees, so there was a beautiful patch of green in our room. We loved how it's all made with such attention to detail. The facilities are a little old, but that doesn't affect its charm. It was also very clean and the beds were very comfy. It's a perfect place if you want to unwind and relax. Expect a tasteful cosy little place away from touristic spaces. We were only staying there at night and used bikes provided by the property to cycle along mangroves to Puerto Morelos, from where it's very easy to take cheap express buses to go to Playa Del Carmen or Cancun, or just enjoy Puerto Morelos. The beach at the property is not comfortable for swimming, but it's beautiful to have it as a breakfast view, listen to it at night and relax on the sunbeds. It's a great value for money and the staff is veryy friendly and helpful. We loved it!

We missed out on breakfast both days of our stay because we had to leave before 8am. However on our 1st day they provided us with some fruit & pastries to take away, which was very kind. Without the use of bikes, or our hire car, it would have been a good 20 mins walk into town for access to restaurants/shops. There were plenty of taxis around the town though.

Beautiful peaceful location, right on the beach. Free use of bikes & snorkel equipment. The bedroom was lovely. A really quirky swinging bed!! Hammocks outside on our own terrace too.

It is not accessible for people with mobility challenges, but I'm sure the staff would accommodate your needs as they're able and out you in a first floor room if possible.

Loved the peace and quiet of this location. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Treat yourself to a meal at Playa Jaguar it is world class and worth every penny. You get to walk back to the hotel on the beach. It makes for a charming, secluded experience. You can imagine simpler times not so long ago before mega-resorts and tourist destinations dominated the Riviera Maya.

Comfortable room with swinging bed! Large container of drinking water provided. Friendly staff. We used the free bikes to get into the centre of Peurto Morelos, it would be a bit too far to walk in the heat. The breakfast, which was a buffet , was one of the best we had in Mexico. The restaurant next door (Jaguar beach, about 50m away)was very good. My only critism, which did not affect our stay, was that the decor was a bit dated/tired and could do with an update. Enjoyed our stay and would go back.

equipment in the room and the houses are old and undermaintend. Everything need to be repaired. Location is perfect, peacefull and relaxing

Beach is rocky and full of gras. They clean the beach every day but the sea is stil full of gras. Not good for entering into the sea. Beach itself is nice, sandy and good for rest. Breakfast is selfmaking, fruits allready prepared, the rest must be done by yourself. Good Bikes are avaible for free and very convinient for biking in the sity.

Not their fault but the water is infested with some sort of seaweed. More than likely climate change related.

Peaceful, out of the way place. Perfect headquarters to explore the coast.

Loading/unloading noise from nearby shipping pier continued throughout the night. There was a septic tank vent near our room which smelled bad. This was corrected after a day when tank was emptied.

Large room with good view from porch. Sunrise views from beach. Cook your own eggs at breakfast. Laid back feel and secluded location. Loved the town and beach of Puerto Morelos. Went snorkeling. Good restaurants.

The beach front was a little rocky and hard to enter the sea from the beach. We had to walk down the shore a bit to get to an easier place to swim.

The location was wonderful and quiet. Loved the beach and the view. Breakfast was also very good and hearty. I loved the vibe of the place. I will return for sure.

The sea at the property is quite rocky. You definately need sea shoes to wear. The swimming from the beach is not ideal. The rural location means there is no local shop. We were glad of our hire car to go into town. Others used the bicycles from the property. It is not a pleasant walk into town.

We loved our stay here. This staff were friendly and helpful. They all worked hard to keep the property and beach beautiful. We liked it that you could use the kitchen to make your own food. The breakfast provided was lovely. We loved the rural location and enjoyed seeing the wildlife around the property. We loved the beach location and our Junior Suite room was wonderful with a stunning sea view.

    The need for a taxi

The location was great for the seclusion, however, it is necessary to take cabs back and forth to town. If you have no concerns about this additional cost, and want a quiet place on the beach, its great!

The walk to town was on the road and not very interesting.

The setting and buildings are very unique and scenic. Breakfast was great and we liked having a communal kitchen. The ocean front view was amazing. We loved the shaded hut with lounge chairs and hammocks overlooking the beach.

    Couldn’t fault a thing.

I loved everything about Rancho. Breakfast was beautiful, the staff were so kind and friendly. Room was perfect as was the beach area. It was quiet, private, and attracted free spirited people with a love of nature, simplicity and quality. We were able to borrow bikes for the 10 min cycle into town which was a bonus. We used the kitchen for lunch and dinners and it was spotlessly clean and well provided for.

The maintenance standard is low. Some of the main building is not being cared for. No ambrellas at the beach chairs.

Top staff 👍 Very nice and quiet neighborhood. Exactly what we needed after a long flight. Seems very authentic and in line with the Mexican way of life. Breakfast is basic, but you can add your own ingredients by using the kitchen facilities. The kitchen is at your disposal for the rest of the day after 10 am. Lots of Iguanas, birds and cute little Chactados on the premises. A charming place in it's own right, and definitely recommendable.

Not located at the most attractive part of the beach area. Room furniture and state is old and expensive for the quality.

Nice concept and atmosphere (make your own breakfast), contact with other travelers and close to the beach and to town (with bicycle).
