I'm in love with how secluded the location is. It's far from the noise and crowded but still accessible to shops and restaurants. The beach is clean & clear. Definitely will stay here again.

You have to watch out for sand flies, unfortunately they cannot be completely avoided, even by applying coconut oil.

Wonderful location right on the beach, beautiful sunrise and clear water. The rooms are simple, clean, and have basic equipment (fridge, kettle, air conditioning). The food in the restaurant is very good and the staffs are helpful and organize additional attractions. I definitely recommend it!

Wish there were screens on the windows so we could have the windows open rather than using the aircon. Also much of the coral is semi-bleached or completely bleached (this is not the property’s fault but it is good to know ahead of time if you are snorkelling or diving). You can still see a lot of fish, I also saw sharks, stingrays and a turtle.

We had such a wonderful stay at Bushman! The cabin is right on a quiet, beautiful beach, with hammocks under the palm trees, perfect for relaxing. Staff were helpful and the food is good at the restaurant. Highly recommended!

Everything perfect!

Exceptional views at the best location. Delicious food and outstanding service, staff was really friendly and helpful. We stayed for 9 nights and really didnt want to leave, it was one of our most relaxing holidays ever. You should also take their offer of going on a Coral Island trip together, highly recommended if you like snorkeling! We already miss it and will definitely come back in the future.

Bushman is a gem of a place on the beautiful island. The chalets are right on a large, pretty beach with a lagoon on the side and a stunning jungle backdrop all around. We particularly enjoyed their breakfasts (fruit poridge, pancakes, roti canai with eggs), as well as the red snapper withe mee goreng for lunch. The staff are super kind and friendly and will make sure all your wishes are met. The jungle trip in the back of a pick up to the Juara side and Bushman is an adventure in itself and added another layer to the uniqueness of the place. We also loved walking through the jungle to the village or to the "Turtle project beach" and seeing huge monitor lizards swimming in the river, flying foxes bats hanging upside down on the trees and locals on scooters.

Nothing....all exceptional!

Everything. The location was brilliant on the east coast so nice and quiet. The chalet was perfect for 4 people and stunning location on the beach. The food area was great on the beach and the staff were all lovely. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner and really enjoyed the food. The staff arranged our transfers from the ferry and also the boat trip to coral island which was amazing. Swimming in the sea right in front of our chalet was gorgeoys and we could snorkel on the reef right on our beach too. Love love love Bushman Tioman!

This place was up there with one of the best guesthouses/hotels I’ve ever stayed at! The view from the accommodation is breathtaking, the air con is great and the place is clean. Good value for money too.

The chalet is right in front of the sea. Very nice place with vegetation around. Very good quality for a eco friendly village like Juara.

Right on the beach, hammock on the coconut palms restaurant served good food, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A short stroll I to the small village. The snorkeling trip was great! Fridge, kettle, good air con and fans in the room..we stayed here for a week, and very quickly got 8sed to doing nothing, very relaxing.....

STUNNING location! felt like we were in paradise. Yes it’s a simple hit but the location is like a dream, and personally i loved being in a hut on the beach, we had a comfortable bed, running water and air conditioning what more could you want in paradise?

The bungalows are dated. Only a sheet on the bed. Everything needs to be updated if the bushman wants to retain its reputation.. pink bathroom 1980s!! It’s all too old.

Location location location… they pick you up from jetty for a price but it’s cheaper than a taxi. Staff esp the man who is always cleaning the place is lovely welcoming and helpful.

The cabin is basic but clean and comfortable. Really appreciate the air conditioning - especially when the afternoons are scorching hot. Our bathroom had hot water which again is a big plus. Meals at the in-house restaurant were 10/10! Best of all, we had the whole beach to ourselves and it was incredible :) Thanks for a memorable stay!

This has nothing to do with where we stayed but be careful of the sandflies. They bite!!

A perfect 3 days, just wish it had been longer! Bushman huts are basic and simple but have everything you need including a private shower and toilet room (with welcome toothbrush and shampoo, soap etc), fridge, aircon and fan and a balcony which looks directly onto the sandy beach and ocean. The hut is clean and comfortable and the view is stunning. The staff welcoming and friendly and the restaurant serves good food. You may bring your own alcohol to drink as they don't serve it, but that's only to be expected as it is a Muslim community. Bushman himself collected us from the boat and we chose to sit in the back to enjoy the drive across the island through the beautiful jungle. We will be back!

The staff were awesome at Bushman’s. Very friendly and helpful. Our chalet was tidy and clean and the shower with hot water was great. The chalet is located on the beach and snorkeling straight out we saw turtles and sharks.

- The restaurant by the hotel is sometimes open and sometimes not. The lunch was only burgers. - The reception seemed to be open only when the restaurant was open.

- The staff was nice & helpful, it was so easy and flexible to pay for all the food at the end of the stay. They also offer a car ride from Tekek to Bushman for 25 ringgits. - Cabins were nice & by the beach. Cosy bed & great Aircon. - Big plus for the hammocks & sunbeds at the beach - Loads of veggie options in the restaurant
