Room was very spacious, I have never stayed in such a big space for this price. The staff, both morning and evening shifts, were friendly and very helpful. The location is superb, just a few minutes drive to anywhere in Taiping.

The water heater made loud noise. There is no lift but I think it’s okay since it’s a double storey. So still manageable to climb the stairs.

Maxwell inn is a 3-star hotel located opposite Taiping Hospital in Taiping. The hotel offers seven (7) non-smoking, air-conditioned rooms with attached bathroom. 2 rooms on the ground floor and 5 rooms on the first floor. The hotel offers room service for simple meals and drinks. I arrived Maxwell Inn on Friday 4 August 2023 around 5.00pm. Registration was swift and smooth. I was given Room 4 which is a Deluxe Double Room (that could accommodate up to 2 Adults and a Child) for my two nights. The room is spacious and very clean. It has a wardrobe and lots of cabinets. The room also comes with a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator and a kettle with cups and saucers and 2 complimentary bottles drinking water. The staff are warm and friendly. There are a few restaurants (mostly Indian Muslim) of walking distance from Maxwell Inn. I could describe my two nights stay in the hotel as peaceful and quiet.

Probably the noise made by children staying next doors. Their parents just let them loitering around the hall despite night time.

I was in Kuala Kangsar over the weekend (Friday 4/8 until Sunday 6/8) for the Malay College Kuala Kangsar Old Boys Weekend 2023. As I was late to register for the OBW, all the hotels and homestays in Kuala Kangsar have been grabbed by other old boys. I decided to stay in Taiping and check out the Maxwell Inn. Not much downside for the room that we have.

Spacious and comfortable. Clean Bed is super comfortable. Night is dark and quiet for a good night sleep. You have to see the key to the room. A traditional large key.

1. Aircon took too long to cool down. Maybe its power was too small for the big room. 2. Bed was uneven - very saggy in some parts, decent in others 3. No sofa or armchair. Just 2 uncomfortable desk chairs for such a bug room

With the price of the accommodation, I think everything is worth a try 😉

The room is super big and clean. The location is superb and easy to navigate. Staying here meaning easy to walk around the center of Taiping to get various type of food and cafe. The staffs are very friendly. They’re very polite and ready to help. Always have smile on their faces. I thought Taiping is a small city but this Maxwell Inn gave a very good impression to us. Surely will choose this place again for the future.

Quite limited parking, but still OK considering that the whole house is for rent.

The family suite room was registered under OYO and it was unbelievably spacious.. there are two queen-size beds, a big living room and very big bathroom with bathtub.
