The lodges were great and clean We had a long walk to ours but that was fine since we had great views and managed to see so much wildlife from our balcony. Only negative was that we had no way to contact the reception from the lodge and since there was no phone in room. My husband has heart disease and we needed this as precautionary measure. I am happy to say the hotel provided us with a walkie-talkie which reassured us.

We loved the location. It was eco friendly and everything in it was thoughtfully arranged. Food was great and the staff were all lovely.

Dinner service could be improved as we didn't always get our main meals at the same time.

This hotel is in the middle of the jungle and very close to the main attractions; the Orangutan and the Sun Bear sanctuaries. This is the biggest plus for this hotel as you can easily spend the day at these centers as it is no more than 15 minutes walk. The added bonus was the facilities at the hotel, the food choices in the restaurant and the peace and quiet, the only real noise being that of the jungle.

Breakfast a little poor and lack of been able to have tea and coffee in the room and having to purchase from the bar. We would of liked to have had a coffee in the morning before coming to the restaurant or one on the balcony when we wanted.

The location, next to the forest was perfect. Lovely tranquil spot with very pleasant and professional staff.

No wifi in chalets. A good idea would be for them to have own vehicle to ferry guests to the orang utan and sun bear rehab places.

Excellent buffet breakfast included which really sets a guest up for a day of animal wonder.

We were quite skeptical when booking this hotel due to other reviews but man, we’re glad we did. From the beginning, the reception staff was so warm and kind. When checking in they showed us that there is a bat residing at our cottage and kindly asked us not to bother it which was great as in the middle of the jungle you are the guest. Then we headed to the restaurant where you are asked to leave your shoes outside which is giving the area a cozy and familiar vibe. Once in the restaurant, you are on a wooden deck surrounded by jungle, trees with birds & squirrels, frangipani trees and a scenic view and an even better feeling to be in such an amazing place. The food was the best I had in 2 weeks - a base of asian with touches of european, just perfect. The room was what I feared most as accomodations in the jungle is usually filled with bugs. But we had absolutely no problem - maybe a few ants in the bath but that’s it. We had mosquito spray in the room - sprayed the room before dinner just as a prevention and it was perfect. Bedsheets, bathroom, all clean. And the view from the balcony - priceless. Our cottage was not the newest but they are actively working on the construction so the place is just going to get better and better. Also, 800 m from the urangutan and sun bears centers - a lovely 10 minutes walk. We highly reccommend.

Stunning location. The staff were fantastic and helpful. The rooms were above what we would have expected for a jungle location. Shower was warm and a treat after a long day. Dinner was great. Bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was absolutely amazing ( just make sure you adjust the setting yourself). Highly recommended.

Dark and smelly room (fishy), shower uncomfortable and a weird bathroom design. Plus the breakfast options weren’t that good. Maybe you could add more western options.

A wonderful location with a great landscape design surrounding by tropical rainforest (we even saw an orangutan from the yards!). Friendly staff and quite close to the rehabilitation centers.

The food at the restaurant was delicious! But a bit overpriced.

we really enjoyed our stay here! Although you are never guaranteed, we saw many different kinds of animals and plants including two orangoutangs! You really are in the edge of the jungle. The beds and cabin was comfortable. The plunge pool (about 2 feet deep and 25 feet diameter) was a very relaxing place to cool off. The staff were very friendly. One of the guys there was looking for wildlife and would point it out to you-he is the one who spotted the two orangoutangs and came to our cabin to let us know they were close because he knew we really wanted to see them! The breakfast buffet was small but always delicious. This resort was a bit more expensive than we usually pay for a place in Southeast Asia, but it was absolutely worth it!

Had an issue when we arrived with cabin hot water but we were moved to another cabin the following morning to resolve. Unfortunately not many other food places were open nearby and most sights outside of the immediate area you will need to drive to get to them.

Great hotel in the heart of the jungle. Also very close to both the sun bear and orangutan sanctuary (within walking distance) which is a big plus. Staff were friendly and attentive always making us feel welcome. Food was good quality given where we were staying. Great priced rooms for the location and nearby sights.

It’s easy to find minor niggles, but considering the big picture - None

The location and friendly staff. Within walking distance of several wildlife centres (bear, orangutan and rain forest). Other trips can be arranged by the staff. It’s not a 5 star city hotel city accommodation, but considering it’s on the edge of a rainforest, it’s dry, clean and relatively bug free. I think the owners have done an excellent job creating this facility. The staff are keen to help and their attitude goes a long way. At times you get very close to nature and wildlife of the forest, that’s a positive.
