Because of the shape of the building, the rooms (certainly ours) only have internal widows to a central area, so limited light. Breakfast OK, but not much choice.

Nice, quirky little hotel.Location very convenient, particularly for the waterfront & the excellent museum. Spacious, comfortable room. Staff very friendly & helpful.

If you are a light sleeper, this is absolutely not the place for you. After complaining about the noise level of room 101 (motorcyles revving all night, Salah broadcast from the mosque across the street, and street cleaners using leaf blowers starting at 6am) I was moved to the quietest suite in the building and it was still pretty noisy. If you are booked in either 101 or 102, I would immediately ask for a new room, you'd have to be deaf or in a coma to get through the night there.

The staff were absolutely amazing. I had a problem with the first room I was assigned and they not only promptly moved me, but when they saw how long I was staying they upgraded me to a suite as well. Breakfast was very good, but go with the local option instead of the western ones. The facilities were spotlessly clean, housekeeping was always extremely prompt, and the front desk staff was always very helpful with great suggestions. Incredibly convenient location, although keep in mind the noise level of the bustling city.

Very nice and helpful staff, a very tasteful hotel interior, everything was very suitable. The room climate in particular could be adjusted to a pleasant level without the air from the air conditioning constantly blowing into your face. That was a big advantage. The bed and mattress were super comfortable. Room and bathroom facilities are above average. Very central location.

We would recommend this property for its great location, along the river and close to the main attractions of Kuching. The large and comfortable room was fabulous with an excellent shower and facilities. The staff were also most helpful at all times.

Our room faced the street, which unfortunately was very noisy. Sleeping without earplugs was not possible. When booking, it's definitely worth requesting a room facing away from the street. The breakfast could have been more varied. As is often the case in Asia, vegetarian options were rare.

A very nice hotel right on the promenade. Great interior design, everything feels very harmonious and peaceful. The room was spacious, comfortable bed, and everything you need. Beautiful bathroom with all the necessary amenities.

Huge bathtub, but not enough hot water to fill it up. Apart from that, it was very spacious and gorgeous bathroom .

Simple yet very well prepared breakfast was something to look forward to every morning. I loved the southeast Asian colonial designed interior of the hotel.Very artistic and calming. I could just sit at reading lounge all afternoon.

Honestly i live everything, I don’t find anything bad to say and review about my stay there. It was all too well but the water heater didn’t heat up the water. Brr brr brr cold shower it is.

I like the interior design concept of Ranee boutique hotel. A harmony of traditional with a touch of modernity. My room lounge was spacious, i am super delighted that the hotel go on the extra mile by introducing nespresso machine and capsule to get my day start off with a shot of espresso. There are no worries in sleeping at night in comfort knowing the A/C is functioning well and properly maintained.

I specifically booked a room with a bath, but for the last night morning- unfortunately there was no hot water. The water heater in the room was on-- and the staff were unable to fix it in the remaining time of my stay.
