Lack of laundry clothes washing facility.

The apartment was well set up for us and our son. The kitchen facilities were great and the sitting / dining room was spacious. The beds were comfortable and there was a good provision of towels. My husband loved the coffee machine that was provided.

The toilet was in downstairs but this is original form of the house..

The location is very good, 3 mins to bus station and 15 mins to train station. 3 mins to the markets and 15 mins to the Shopping street. The house is clean and everything was good. Clara is very nice. I strongly recommend.

The wifi connection was slow.

Location is close to everything but train station is on the other side of the city area. The host was amazing and answered my texts immediately and also booked us a taxi on the way out. Very kind and helpful.

The place was cozy and well-located. Carla was very friendly and explained right away where the nearest grocery stores and bus stops are. I recommend this place! Leiden was very beautiful as well. :)

The restroom is downstrairs, but this is well stressed in the website, and frankly rather easy to get used to it, unless you have some physical limitations. The annoying thing was that at least three lamps were burt out, including at the entrance to apartment. Fortunately, with today's smartphone flashlight you can manage, but you are not camping, and you expect that such elementary things will be fixed The other somewhat unpleasant thing was that the heating was minimal. This can be understood given the extremely cold weather' which went down well below freezing. Heating is likely not a problem when the weather is not very cold. Possibly related to that is that the warm water stream in the shower was not strong.

Quiet neighborhoud, but 10 minutes walk from the touristic town center, large supermarket within a 5 minutes walk. Fully furbished kitchen, and a large and convenient living room. A nice new shower room

The beds were not really comfortable, the sofa bed is ok for one people. In the double bed, both of us ended up in the middle :)

A colourful, cosy, real rustic chic apartment in the very heart of beatiful Leiden, yet in a super silent part. Absolutely great value for money! Lovely owner who responded in a kind and timely manner to our slightly chaotic last minute requests :) We loved the owners' animals: cats, dog and even some chickens! The house and the apartment have a very lovely atmosphere.

Tranquil neighbourhood yet near to everything. The free-of-charge parking was a welcome benefit. The unit is well designed and caters to all requirements usually popping up during vacation. Strongly recommended! (But beware of the typically steep dutch stairs!)

Going to the toilet down steep stairs, might be a challenge for older people.

The apartment is light and airy, in a quiet suburb, close to the bus stop, easy walking distance to eateries, SPAR, bakery, pub etc. Kitchen is well equiped to prepare basic meals. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This review is hidden because it doesn't meet our guidelines.

We hated the kitchen trash can. It requires you to grab onto it in order to lift up the top instead of having a foot pedal. We found it to be annoying. I don't know that anyone else would care, lol.

Leiden is a beautiful little city. Familie Quellhorst is in a surprisingly convenient location to the shopping center of Leiden (very short walk over). The little apartment feels like a home away from home -- it is cheery, cozy, comfortable, and equipped with a kitchen and a generously sized table in the living room that we used to play board games/card games on. Every morning we were greeted by the host's chickens on our way out of the gate. The Dutch stairs on the property are odd if you're not used to them, but it was fun to get used to navigating them as they showed up all through the Netherlands throughout our stay. The property is quiet in the morning -- you can watch people as they go by on their bikes and hear the birds singing and the church bells ringing as you wake up. This, for us, was a picturesque, peaceful, and soul-soothing stay, and we couldn't be happier with the place.

it was in a great location, quiet and convenient for central Leiden, shops and train station. it was a home from home. our host Carla and Piet were great. we will definitely stay here again when we return to Leiden.

The toilet was on the ground floor via very steep stairs. Maybe the upstairs bedroom en-suite could be expanded to include a toilet? The mattress needs replacing as it appears damaged in the middle resulting in you falling into the centre. In general the bedroom and lounge could do with a makeover as it is rather dated.

Carla was friendly and informative. The price charged was o.k. considering the good location and spacious rooms. Free wi-fi.

Bedroom cold and windows need cleaning as there was some mould- the apartment was very clean otherwise. Lack of plug sockets in the kitchen. had to use the breakfast bar plug when using the kettle or toaster etc. The apartment is about a little while away from the station so if you plan on travelling to the station often you will get your steps in!

Host very welcoming and helpful. The apartment is well equipped, especially the kitchen.
