A little noisy at night, the stairs could be hard for some people, for us, wasn’t a problem, thanks to the host that took our luggage upstairs. The light system is tricky, place is kind of dark, the bathtubs are beautiful but no place to put staff around.

Is beautiful, different, every detail in the property makes you feel that you are living in the last century. Kitchen well equipped and the location is perfect, close to everything, just some minutes walking distance.

Location brilliant for cetnral Amsterdam. Beautiful rooms decorated in a traditional style. Located above a private members club with lots of events that you can attend. Amazing Amsterdam experience.

The showers were a little hard to use, but still got the job done and worked perfect!

Apartment is a 3rd floor walk-up, stairs are winding and hard to navigate for someone with knee issues. It would be helpful to indicate this in the listing, as well as the steep stairs leading up to one bedroom. Check-in staff was very friendly and helpful with luggage, however. Apartment was clean overall, but some furniture was worse for wear, possibly due to age. Parts of the apartment appeared unfinished (e.g., wires coming out of hole in wall).

The location of the apartment is nearly perfect, very centrally located and easily accessible by public transport. Apartment is uniquely decorated with a nice kitchen area and beautiful terrace attached to one of the bedrooms. The fireplace was a cozy touch and perfect for the chilly evenings. Each bedroom has its own attached bathroom, offering privacy. Also, the sound systems in both bedrooms are amazing!

It would be good to have one mirror in a common area that was lit for applying makeup. Sink were beautifully to highlight the sink but you couldn’t see well enough to put on mascara anywhere 🤣 It was loud on the streets at night (which you can’t help)

Layout was perfect for traveling with another couple or teenagers. Loved having a spot to make tea in the morning. Bath was heaven. Location was fantastic. Felt like living on a film set for a week

Central location so not quiet at night - we had earplugs so we’re ok. Steep spiral staircases not a problem for us but would not be suitable if any disability or elderly.

Although stunning, the spiral stairs was hard work, however the host helped the children carry their bags up to our second floor apartment. Trying to keep all of the water in the bathtub was a slight issue when using the shower too. But these issues were worth dealing with though, as the accommodation was outstanding.

Great location, eclectic, beautifully decorated with amazing pieces of furniture. Huge, comfy beds. Plenty of room for a family, loved listening to music on the record player in the evenings. Everything you could hope for in a holiday rental.

Spiral staircase would be a problem for some people but it actually added to the quirkyness of the apartment for us.

Very opulent surroundings and quirky. We found something new to look at everytime we returned to the apartment. Beds extremely comfortable and the owners couldn't do enough for us. they were there to meet us and show us around and said we could contact them with any problems if we needed to - we didn't. Would definitely recommend the Salon de Franz to friends.

Nothing, it’s perfect.

Wow… what a beautiful home to truly experience the history and beauty of Amsterdam! The interior design of this home is unlike anything I have seen before. It looks exactly like the pictures. We had a record player and speakers in both rooms and a beautiful porch for late nights. We loved our home so much we spent just as much time inside as we did exploring the beautiful city! Location is super central, it’s close to Jordaan and Central station. Food and drinks surrounding the home are great! Rooms are on two separate floors which we loved. We literally did not want to leave! This was by far the most beautiful hotel/apartment I have ever stayed in! Our host was so kind and welcoming as well!
