Even though we booked a private room, the amenities are hostel-level. Controlled shower output (saving the water, I suppose), there's no bathroom mat, and when I asked for it, the front desk guy doesn't know what it is (?) But it's okay he gave me a towel instead.

The bathroom is very tiny. Also, I know I chose a mixed dorm, but they don’t even bother in trying to allocate a female solo traveler in a room with more girls so I ended spending the night in a room with 5 boys, which was a bit overwhelming

The room was very small with the bathroom cramped. No locker arrangement to store luggage. Just shelves with bags all over and no security.

Centrally located near most historical monuments and parks and stores. Good connectivity with local trams. Within 300 meters of closest stop. Good clean comfortable rooms with digital lock.

The beds were short and things fell from the upper beds especially. Also, the lockers' locks need to be of bigger size that can be used with other (as the lock has to be bought).

Wifi doesn't work well at all on 2nd floor. The bathroom was small so it's easy to get water splashed, but for a short stay it was okay.

We stayed in a 6-bed dormitory. The room was clean, we were provided with storage box and clean towels. The staff was very nice and helpful.

I don’t have a bad opinion of this place. I stayed for one night and never experienced any of those problems that people were talking here.

It’s very close to the main avenue for bars and nightclubs. It’s around 15min walking from the central station so that’s fine 😀

The biggest problem in my opinion it's the lack of respect by other guests shouting in the corridor at 4am every night. The manager should care more about this problem, instead she prefer to harass some guys that were peacefully smoking a joint in an open air smoking area. The same manager came to my dorm telling me that I had to leave, unaware that I paid for one additional night the previous day. She thought that she had was the right one, until she noticed the evidence of the facts (with my payment and a note)

One guy at the reception was so kind and polite, I made two separate bookings because at the beginning there wasn't availability for the same kind of room. I went to the receptionist and he assured me that I shouldn't had to check-out because he paired the two separate bookings and made me stay in the same dorm. The restaurant staff was kind as well, everything was clean.

Some girls at the reception weren't the friendliest people I've ever met, and I don't like the fact that since they've opened their own restaurant you're not so welcome to eat your own food every day in the common area...I mean, it's a hostel, if I was supposed to pay restaurant prices for each meal I would have chosen another place to stay no? Nobody told me anything about that, there just was a sign telling you that.

The room was very clean, I appreciate that they furnish one towel every day to every guest. I think that most of the hotels in Amsterdam don't even change one.

Security and behaviour management of undisciplined young students.

Stay away from this hotel, if you want a good sleep at night as a lot of undisciplined school groups use this hotel. It's very important to control the behaviour of school visitors as they were too noisy and banging on doors in the middle of the night, disturbing other visitors and then behaving like Saints in the morning. When complained about our experience, staff said they investigated and fined 50 Euros to the offender, which was not helpful for our hardship on the previous night.
