Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI booked a Classic Double, which did not look like the room in the Booking.com or hotel website. It was tiny, with no proper window (a high level skylight). There was nowhere to put suitcases or to unpack them into wardrobe or drawers. The bathroom was as big as the bedroom. I have previously stayed in this hotel in a 'comfort single' which was tiny, with a narrow single bed - the photo is at least honest on that. We complained about the room, and to their credit the staff tried to find alternatives. These involved steep stairs and no lift. It is worth noting that although there is a lift to the floor level, there are often stairs to change levels within the hotel. Eventually we were moved to a larger room (but still not enough space to unpack suitcases). It was pleasant, much better but should have been available for the price of the Classic Double (I assume it was an upgrade). Surprisingly there was no desk to work at. I realise that conversions of old buildings into modern hotels is very difficult withouth ripping them out and destroying their charm. But i think there needs to be more transparency about the size and convenience of the rooms, and i also think that the prices are too high for what you get.
the location is very good, and the public spaces of the hotel are beautiful.

BelgiumThe hotel cannot be reached by car/taxi. The size of my room was small.
The hotel is very nicely renovated. It is in the old part of town and very charming. Many restaurants and shops nearby. It is excellent value for money considering the cost of hotel accommodation in The Hague.

BelgiumI arrived around 3.30 pm and still had to wait while my room was getting prepared. Disappointing. I got a classic double room which was on the ground floor in a dark corner. The room was nothing like the pictures on booking.com. The room had no side windows, only one in the ceiling, which still didn't give much light. Very claustrophobic. Ventilation in the bathroom was working without stopping. It was pretty loud at night. The breakfast was good, but not many vegan choices, and too expensive. Next time I would rather go to a cafe nearby. There are plenty of options.
The bed was really comfortable. The room was very clean. The location is good. Sound proofing is good. That is all.

AustraliaWe booked a double room. When we got our keys to the room, we discovered that it was a twin-share room and not the type of room (design-wise) that we booked. Upon returning to the reception, we were told that the hotel was fully booked. This was then rectified by receiving a room upgrade, which we were grateful for. The part that we did not appreciate was that the staff hoped that we would not notice/mind the twin-share room but did not ask/inform us.
The location is hard to beat. Right in the centre and next door to many restaurants and shops. The interior of the hotel is nicely designed. Fresh, infused water is available/free in the reception area.

GermanyIn retrospect I needed an extra pillow… also, I didn’t ask for one, but think about it if you are in a single room. I am not used to uncarpeted hotel rooms but there you go ( note the room was kept very clean). Folks, remember to tip your cleaner part way through your stay if it’s more than a few days, perhaps. They are on their toes.
Excellent, responsive staff. I like that they didn’t stock in the minibar fridge unless you asked, which mean room for a few fresh things - this was appreciated. The feel of the place is cozy with a decent living-room style open foyer. And very big table used by people to work sometimes. Everyone appreciated the seriously fresh, fruit and ginger water right when you walk in, and the fresh fruit. “. I didn’t try breakfast there so no comment. Also, I had a very small single room but that was intentional. Terrific location for my own needs; and my room facing the inner courtyard was very quiet even with the window open.
