I had a pleasant stay at Room Mate Aitana in Amsterdam. The hotel’s proximity to Central Station and the city center was very convenient, allowing easy access to the main attractions. The breakfast is very bad, you wait 40 minutes for them to throw out what is missing, for such a large number of rooms and guests the choice is very small..eggs, bacon..a little cheese and fruit and nothing else!!expect that if you leave the hotel on Sunday morning before 7:30 a.m., you will be left without the breakfast you paid for, because the restaurant is open from 7:30 a.m., and no one at the reception will offer you a solution or a refund!!! my next visit to Amsterdam will certainly not be in this hotel

1. The service staff were friendly and polite, welcoming travelers from around the world and showing exceptional kindness to my children. 2. Conveniently located in the city center, with excellent dining options inside the hotel. 3. Despite ongoing renovations in some parts of the hotel, it had no impact on our stay. 4. The cleanliness was impeccable. I will definitely choose this place again for my next visit.

I thought the breakfast was a bit boring- it's mainly bread items. I wish there were more protein items suitable for a vegetarian. Also, no hot sauce? The elevators took forever, and for some floors, like the dining area, they are only available by elevator. Check-in took hours, and the front desk was always crowded. It reminded me of a Las Vegas mega hotel yet this hotel isn't that big. One particular day, I had to wait 15 min to get someone's attention to ask for an umbrella, which they attempted to charge me for, which was news to me when I was checking out. First of all, the umbrella I borrowed was broken and when I returned it, I handed it to a staff member since there was a long line (again). There is also this hidden button to open the door to exit and enter the hotel.. there was a small sign yet almost everyone missed it and would struggle with the door. One young male attendant would just watch guests struggle or would ignore everyone by hiding around the corner. He seemed to get a kick out of ignoring guests or seeing them struggle- I never saw him once push the button in my 5 days of staying there! Lastly, construction going on didn't make for the best experience. I recommend adding a bigger front desk area, better snacks, and more seats so you can be comfy waiting to check in.

I liked the location, bed was comfortable, and very spacious. The staff was overall nice. I liked the schedule for breakfast as I didn't ever have to rush to catch a meal. 2 stand out employees were Francesco and the young Brazilian gent who was so friendly and made me welcome from the moment I arrived.

I didn't like the breakfast, I found it too expensive and in particular I didn't like the cappuccino as the milk was watery. There was a big variety of food, but I didn't find something that I really liked. In the room there were some design details that I didn't understand, for example the carpet was under the bed and I couldn't use it. The 4 pillows were too big and all with the same size. I found disingenuous that nothing was mentioned about the refurbishment during the booking process. They should have offered a discount for the closure of the lobby area. They offered us some tool shaped chocolates instead that I found inappropriate.

The position was great. The staff were very friendly. The room was great, very big with a fantastic view, quiet amid the refurbishment. The mattress was comfortable.

Fridge is stuffed with drinks and snacks which you might think is complementary but they charge you later, they should make it clear in the beginning but everything was perfect

The room is large, with huge windows and a beautiful view of the canal. Comfortable beds and pillows. Location it's near to the Central Station where you can take means of transport to visit the city or to go on excursions. Very safe location.

The lifts are atrocious. Very slow to arrive. The lifts are small and because they take so long to get to the ground they are usually very full of people. The stairs are not an option as they only go down to floor 3!

Room was very comfortable, lots of space and clean. Bathroom was clean and a good shower.

I had to wait a long time for the room key. I arrived at 12:00 p.m., I was told that the room would be ready at 1:00 p.m., then at 2:00 p.m. …then at 3:00 p.m. No possibility of changing rooms
