Breakfast is very expensive. Small and slow television.

The room is large, with huge windows and a beautiful view of the canal. Comfortable beds and pillows. Location it's near to the Central Station where you can take means of transport to visit the city or to go on excursions. Very safe location.

The lifts are atrocious. Very slow to arrive. The lifts are small and because they take so long to get to the ground they are usually very full of people. The stairs are not an option as they only go down to floor 3!

Room was very comfortable, lots of space and clean. Bathroom was clean and a good shower.

I had to wait a long time for the room key. I arrived at 12:00 p.m., I was told that the room would be ready at 1:00 p.m., then at 2:00 p.m. …then at 3:00 p.m. No possibility of changing rooms

Sad to report that I find this hotel very expensive for what it is. It was not worth for the price. The hotel is going through a renovation. The room was spacious but dark with no sufficient lighting. At check in, I was given written room instructions in Dutch. I was told they “ran out” of the English version. The restaurant in the hotel offers limited options, and is rather expensive. Kind of far from the center of town if you are walking.

By car or taxi it’s little bit far to dam , need to change the towel and we have to pay for the drinking water it’s must be free and while my staying there the hotel have renovations but in general i like the hotel

There is no tram station or bus station near the hotel. You have to walk till Centraal station.Also there are no places to eat other than the hotel itself.Although for us that was not an issue. We enjoyed walking into the central which was easy 10-15 min walk

The size of the rooms was big and very clean. We were upgraded and had a view. Central station was 10 minutes walk. If you rent a car , there is ijdock Interparking right across from the hotel and if booked online costs 22$ for 24 hrs.

There was renovation going on, although they had mentioned before , but it was not so pleasant like waiting for 15-20 mins for the lift.

Only thing that there is no good choice for dinner because far away from city center.

They are busy renovating, and sometimes the noise of drilling was heard....understanable ! But it was still great !

The young staff on a evening in the bar seemed very rushed as they had to serve in the restaurant as well, it seemed to me they were not very proactive, also on the Saturday night there was a private party in the bar so effectively nowhere to get a drink as the other bar is being refurbished.

The hotel was undergoing some upgrades to their lobby area while I visited so there was not a lot of space during high traffic moments (mornings as an example). This is temporary so other than that - nothing else!

This was my second stay at the Room Mate and there is no other hotel I would say in Amsterdam. The room is spacious, super clean with a very comfortable bed and an amazing view of either the city or the waterfront. The hotel staff are super friendly, and breakfast was great!
