There is little privacy in the bedroom because of a little courtyard - bedroom windows overlooks it. Moreover, when I was visiting, people were smoking in the yard so there was bad smell in the whole apartment - the owner could intruduce some policy in this regard... The flat is on the ground floor so privacy in general is its bad side. Finally, the owner should really rethink check-in/check-out system as it is total chaos (not very Dutch indeed).

The host was not very friendly in the beginning. We also could not reach him when we arrived to the location and had to wait 30 minutes, although we had arranged the time earlier.

Took a few minutes for the shower to heat up, but then it was fine. Also took us a while to figure out how to use the coffee machine.

Location was very central, only a few minutes walk from the train. Key holder met us at the property with only 5 minutes notice. Also directed us to an excellent bike hire shop. Bed was very comfortable.

The communication with the host was a bit of an adventure, but nothing was really an issue. Some things might have been a bit cleaner (parts of the bathroom and the living room was a bit more accessorised, therefore it collected some dust).

The location was perfect. Everything was within a few minutes' walk from the place. The flat was big and if you unfold the sofa, it could definitely accommodate 4 people. With 2 people staying it was more than OK. The kitchen is surprisingly well equipped, although we have not used it at all. There were also some beers and other stuff ready in the fridge (for an extra charge). Also, it was way cheaper than anything we were able to find within walking distance from the center.

It’s VERY noisy. I could hear the guests in the other apartment (and they were very loud), and the stairs and steps of the upper floor. The check-in was not ok. I was told to call the number provided by Booking upon my arrival in Groningen, and after three calls, and a couple of messages, none replied. I was lucky that there were two people cleaning the apartment when I arrived. Had I arrived later, I’m not sure I’d have manage to get in. I indicated my arrival time in advance, and I would have appreciated instructions as to how to get the keys. Also, the check in was at 13.00 according to Booking and I had to wait until 14.00 to get in. The cleaning was ok, but could have been better. I thought I had acces to the terrace, as indicated by the pics, but it was not available for me and the people in the other studio used it (and until late at night, which was annoying).

The location was great, and the size of the apartment was also ok.

In the description says that the property has private parking. That is not true, the host showed us a city underground parking, costing 20 Euro/Night. Also, the floor was very unclean, the sofa had crumbs all over it.

The price for this accommodation is quite steep, so I expected it to be top notch. Sadly, there were some issues I wouldn't expect in that price range. The fridge was very dirty inside. Not cleaned at all. There is some mold in the shower. The wifi was very slow. And (this is probably very personal) the mattress is very soft which gave me a back pain all day the next day.

The location is good and the place is really nice inside. The complementary coffee and tea are nice too.

Very nervous owner, was screaming at me because I was asking to many questions regarding house. Overall very dirty and smelly house, in shower I found a worm... photo attached. I extremely do not recommend to book this place!

The owner was incredibly rude to us after a miscommunication. There were two rooms in the townhouse. However, only one of the rooms was mentioned in the booking. Consequently, two different parties had booked the same room. After having entered the room which had shown as booked in my account, the other party arrived at the surprise of their same booking being taken. After this incidence, the owner called me and was screaming at me saying how angry he was for having entered the “wrong room”… this caused me a lot of distress and left me quite disappointed. My partner and I even believed the owner would be aggressive. I would recommend those considering this place to reconsider to avoid facing that disrespectful and insensitive owner.

The heating in the main area couldn't be turned off or even set it a little lower. The water in the bathroom would take a lot of time to heat up.

I liked the decor of the house and how warm it was. The location was very convenient. Very nice mattress in the bed.

Firstly we were not able to contact the owner before coming to the property. We called numerous times but the number didn’t go through. It seemed he had blocked my number as when my fiancé called from his phone, he was at least able to leave a voicemail. When we arrived at the property there was already another family staying there. We were told by the neighbor that the owner would be there soon to resolve the issue and check us in. We waited for him at the property for 3 and a half hours. During this time we still had not been able to speak to him directly. However, during this time the other family were able to speak with him on the phone. He spoke aggressively with them and told them he was not coming to the property. Eventually he agreed he would come to give them an extra mattress. ( nothing regarding our check in and where we would stay). It was late in the night and we still didn’t know what our situation would be for the night. Booking.com we’re not able to relocate us as he was not picking up their calls either. When he finally showed up, he was very aggressive, and racially abusive. We were calm and only expressed that we wanted the property cleaned as someone else had already used it or talk to Booking.com so that we could be relocated for the night. We also expressed our dissatisfaction for the service and he told us if we don’t like it then leave.He kept on shouting and eventually he got the cleaner to clean the bathroom. This is definitely not the service we expected and we felt uncomfortable and unsafe during the rest of the stay. I would definitely NOT recommend this property for anyone to stay.

The property is in a nice location and is decorated well. The cleaning lady was really friendly.
