Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Hong KongNuno is always happy to share the history of his Quinta and also every aspect of living in Qurem area. Room is comfortably maintained and very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast room and common areas are nice area to relax and meet with other guests who happened to be here. Location is ideal for travelers to explore the UNESCO sites and beautiful castles and churches nearby. There are also a few restaurants that serve high quality local dishes at very reasonable price.

LuxembourgWe had a very pleasant stay in Quinta da Alcaidaria. The host is very nice and welcoming and gave us many suggestions. We managed to relax and enjoy the calm and the greenery and the kids loved the pool, Scooby, the dog, and Sputnik, the cat. Breakfast was also nice and the game room was a nice way to spend some time. If you like history, a rustic style and a quiet stay, this is the place for you!

Unique accommodation in family owned property with so many memories decorating the living spaces. Very good breakfast served in a fabulous dinning room. So enjoyed staying here and plenty of things to see in the area especially Tomar. Or just a lovely swim in the pool was relaxing

United KingdomHaving to leave!!!
Where can I start…well, having made my way from the southern most part of Portugal over 6 weeks, this, by a long way, the most impressive halt! Firstly, an enormous thank you to Nuno for welcoming us so warmly to his c17th family home, for taking, and collecting, us to/from an exquisite restaurant and for being so kind! This really is a home from home, albeit a tremendously grand home. If you love a little history, space, peace, R&R and down time, stay here! Come in June for a blueberry extravaganza and any other time to sleep in tranquil and pitch black bedrooms, frolic in the pool or just bathe, hustle your friend/partner on the pool table, entertain your friends on the terraces and try not to eat too much breakfast. Oh, and don’t forget to pay the honesty bar at the end!

The host was extremely welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and he made many good suggestions as to trips and local restaurants over the 4 days we were there. It was meant to be 3. A great location for exploration, good road access. Children will adore the pool, table football and animals. Best Bedroom ceiling, done in wood, it makes an impact.

PortugalThe property is a beautiful quinta with wonderfully preserved furniture and a welcoming host, who can balance warmth without being overwhelming. He warmed up the cottage for us ahead of arrival and ensure we knew where to go for dinner nearby. We also loved the mascot of the property, who rounded up the homey feeling for my partner and I.

PortugalNuno is an awesome host - everything you need to know, inwards and out! Historic and beautiful house with a lot of animals surrounding. Beautiful place with bar, fireplace and games. The breakfast included fruit, natural orange juice, good bread, eggs and bacon. The closest city(2km), Ourém, is know for hikes, good food, and the castle(360º degrees green view).

United KingdomEverything is a little old fashioned but this is in keeping with the house. Currently there is no restaurant but there are plenty in town.
A beautiful old quinta and a charming host. Much of the original furniture and furnishings remain in the house and we were treated like guests in a family home. The quinta has a very rural feel and is a five minute drive from the local town. Breakfast was excellent.

PortugalThe farm and the house are amazing, beautiful gardens around and old object details that represent the history of this place. If you are planning a time off to relax with your family, this is the place to be. Inside the farm beside beautiful gardens, you can relax over a nice swimming pool, a bar, and some games you can play with the family. The breakfast was very good and fresh. The staff are simply very kind and helpful all the time. Mr Nuno Vasconcelos is very supportive and can give you great tips for restaurants around.

United Arab EmiratesThere is no fridge to store items, this is important since there is no dinner or lunch! And there is no common microwave in the mess-hall either or water heater in the rooms (which needs maintenance for the pool and tennis equipment).
The whole setup is unusual, the farm is decades old with antiques all over, safe and plenty of space

Hong KongNuno who runs the place is a great and caring host who truly looks after his guests needs. This place has a rich history passed down from generations, yet is well kept and clean, surrounded by beautiful lofty trees and big fields. Inside you will find various antiques displayed around which each tell their own stories. To top it off there are some animals living in the fields- horses, donkeys, sheep and a pony and of course Scooby the friendly resident dog which will entertain the kids for hours! Another highlight of this place is the breakfast every morning in a beautiful room with a long table with warm croissants, rolls and fresh orange juice etc. Possibly the best breakfast ever!
