  • The Yard Hostel Review Score: 8

“This hostel is perfectly located in the city center, so you can get almost everywhere by feet. The staff was very nice and courteous. The 8 bed dorm was okay, you have a curtain for some privacy and a drawer for your luggage. But I don’t know why they taped the window. There is a common living room area with some cozy sofas and a small kitchen with everything you need. Luggage can be stored before checkin and after checkout for free. They don’t offer own activities but have lots of tips for what to do in Helsinki.”

“A warm and friendly welcome. Central but quiet location. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Quirky and individually decorated bedrooms in art nouveau style - amazing!”

  • Hilton Helsinki Airport Review Score: 10

“Booked for convenience for an early morning flight. The short walk to the airport terminal was perfect. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean.”

  • “Best possible location in the city, as middle as possible, and close to everything. Top tier breakfast, would go there just because of that.”

  • Noli Otaniemi Review Score: 8

“We were attending a conference at Aalto University, which is close by, only a 1.2 km walk, and there is also a tram service, which we did not use, preferring to walk. The walks in the forest and beside the marshes are beautiful and a fine example of Finnish government planning to keep green areas with natural beauty integrated into residential, educational and cultural facilities. There was also a well stocked supermarket just across the car park.”
