  • The Coach House Review score: 10

“Everything was superb during our stay. Excellent communication prior to our arrival, we knew where to park and how to get into the premises. The owners were very helpful and attentive. Our room was as described, very clean, tea/coffee making, fresh water and even home made cake. The breakfast was wonderful, very good choice, lots of it and good ingredients.. We walked up Pen-y-fan which is only a 10 minute drive. We also had 2 very good meals in Brecon, The Brecon tandoori and especially The Hop inn Gin bar which served superb tapas.”

  • “The breakfast was delicious and location ideal for us visiting relatives. The room was delightful. Lovely setting with views of the surrounding countryside as far as the Wirral.”

  • “Hosts were really friendly and helpful! Location was also wonderful!”

  • Woodlands Guest House Review score: 10

“Probably one of the nicest B and Bs I have stayed at. It was cosy, spotlessly clean, delicious breakfast and we were made to feel so welcome and given info about the local area. Amazing home made lime and lemon marmalade!! Only one night stay wish it was longer!!”

  • Bryn Noddfa Review score: 9

“A lovely welcome, delicious breakfast, very comfortable room”

  • Sandy Mount House Review score: 9

“Evening food was excellent, overall stay was outstanding.”

  • “Situated in a quiet village, this was just what we wanted. The room was comfortable, with lots of thoughtful touches like maps and brochures and books to read. Plenty of choice for breakfast, on a help oneself basis in the room, and a spacious bathroom with excellent shower. It would have been good to use the outdoor table and chairs, but summer hadn’t quite arrived! Our hosts were friendly and helpful without being intrusive, and all was well. We enjoyed seeing the spotted woodpecker amongst the birds using the feeders!”

  • Caer Menai Review score: 10

“We got a warm welcome from Neil, who was happy to cater to all of our wishes (including vegan dietary choices) and was always happy to provide something extra (e.g. providing us with non-dairy milk and ensuring we have enough water in the room). The room itself was lovely with a very comfortable bed and an old school charm to it, but all seemed recently refurbished and was very clean. The location is on the inside of the fortress with the bay on the opposite side of the wall. It’s a scenic bus journey from many of the top sites in Eryri (Snowdonia), so it’s a great option for those travelling by public transport. I was trying to think of a negative aspect of our stay to not give 100% marks on everything, but I couldn’t think of anything…”
