Our room was horrible. We got a room in what felt like the basement of the hotel. The room was not clean, we found hairs in the bathroom, the cleaners has forgotten to refill soap before we checked in. We had a window that lead right to a private terrace (which was not ours) so we didn’t feel safe having our window open either.

My second time here, a few steps from the Central Station/Bus station and surrounded by shops and places to eat. Both times I've been here I've been checked in very quickly with minimal fuss. Nice breakfast included with the rate I paid. Was fairly warm in the room and no aircon as it's an older traditional building, might be an issue for some as potential for noise from the street if you leave the windows open overnight for air.

AC didn’t work so the room got very hot and stuffy.

Design of interior was nice, staff was friendly and service minded and the room comfortable. Location is hard to beat if you want a centrally located hotel.

The first room was bad. A sharp hole in the edge of the sink. Dark and dingy. No outlook. Scruffy around the lift area. It was a shame I didn’t realise we had to pay extra to use the pool and wellness area if we had booked through Booking.com

We liked the second room and we’re pleased we were moved to another room so promptly after complaining. Breakfast was great, the view from the window was perfect. The staff were friendly. It was a relaxed atmosphere.

Room was in rear of hotel away from main part. No air conditioning so had to keep window open however a continuous buzz all night from outside disturbed my sleep. View from room was of other rooms. All this for £200 a night!

I felt the hotel was understaffed during my stay, for example the wait on the bar in the lobby was so long that I always ended up going somewhere else for a glass of vine.

I stayed in the older part of the hotel and the room was quite cramped, with electrical outlets near the floor below the table, which made things a bit tricky. No refrigerator in the room (frankly, there wouldn't be space) and I had to use the ironing board as an additional surface to unpack my suitcase. The room rate went through the roof for the night of the Bruce Springsteen concert, otherwise it would have been reasonable value for money.

Excellent location close to main station, airport bus stop, and a number of bus and tram lines. Gothenburg is such a fantastic walkable city, and this hotel is ideally located for exploring the city on foot. Great breakfast buffet. Iron and ironing board in the room - an unexpected bonus.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the ProfilHotels Opera Hotel, and I must say it was an exceptional experience that surpassed all my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the hotel lobby to the time I checked out, every aspect of my stay was filled with comfort, and impeccable service. Upon entering, I was greeted by a team of attentive and friendly staff members who immediately made me feel welcome. Their genuine smiles and eagerness to assist set the tone for the exceptional service that awaited throughout my stay. The location of the the ProfilHotels Opera Hotel was another advantage. Situated in the heart of the city, it provided convenient access to major attractions, shopping districts, and transportation hubs. I'll be back definitely in my next stay.

The property was far too hot and air conditioning only cooling rooms down to 19C, far too hot for us (medically not just due to the discomfort). The male member of staff on reception in the evening did not provide good customer service. he mislead other guests about limitations of air conditioning and, after a long wait whilst he dealt with these, then opted to serve a guest behind me first. He didn’t seem to understand he needed to treat all guests equally.

The male receptionist on duty when we checked in was really helpful and welcoming. I explained we couldn’t stay in room they offered due to heat and lack of air circulation and with no quibbles he altered our room. The breakfast was great.
