Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWould be nice to have a wardrobe or somewhere to hang clothing in the room. Pool tiles could do with a scrub.
The property is beautiful! Such a nice design with the pool, the rooms are massive and the decor stunning. Staff were great, friendly and accommodating. Breakfast loads of choices. On a hill 15 min walk from town, we didn’t mind the hill for the exercise but they provide a free shuttle a few times a day. Great view of the beach from the hill.

AustraliaThe room needed some general maintenance & good deep clean. The towels, dressing gowns & shower mat were stained & could do with replacing.
It had a traditional Thai feel with lots of timber. Nice view, good pools & nice gardens. The staff were lovely with most having good English & very accommodating. The service & the food was excellent! We liked being a little bit away from the hustle of the centre of Patong but not too far for a quick trip. Cocktails were nice & delivered poolside 😍

AustraliaI can't say I didn't like anything, only that it could do with a paint job oh and softer mattress.
I have read many reviews prior to staying at the Baan Yin Dee and read many conflicting reviews, I can agree with some of them but I have to say I really enjoyed my stay. The place could do with a bit of a general upgrade but I was looking for a Thai style resort and to be honest that's exactly what it is. The hotel was extremely clean the staff were amazing and did anything to make you stay amazing. A special thanks to V for going above and beyond. The location is a but of a hike so if your looking for something more convenient to patong beach Rd it's probably not for you but the hotel has a shuttle and we were happy to pay for a tuk tuk which cost between 200- 300 baht. I would not hesitate staying there again.

HungaryOld furnitures made in wood so make noice the pavement when u walk in the room, doors cannot close easily on the balcony so bugs can easily enter, stuff hardly speak English and also worst to understand them because of their pronunciation. In theory the distance from the “city Center and Patong beach” is not big, but in practice is it because it is on a hill and every time u have to pay for a tuk tuk or taxi because otherwise is 20 min uphill walking. The taxi charges 200-300 Bath per way to Patong beach area.
Very silent ( except the deep and loud sounds of frogs from the wood in the backyard) The stuff is very polite and helpful Nice swimming pool area

AustraliaThe bed was super hard, a mattress topper would have made the sleep a little more comfortable. We had an issue with charging of the room and how much we were charged. I asked the reception staff and they dismissed helping or clarifying and advised to contact booking.com. Upon check in it was late in the night we were placed in the wrong room even after telling the staff that we booked a pool access room the lady who checked us in dismissed us and still put us into a different room. V the next morning resolved this for us. Upon checking in we were informed the water within the room is complimentary. Until we came to check out we were informed we had to pay a fee for the water we drank. The lady who checked us in did not specify that the water in the fridge was charged and the water in glass bottle in bathroom was complimentary. She just said water in complimentary. It was disheartening to then have to pay close to 730 baht for water. While speaking to the lady during check out she was unreasonable in understanding our view point and said if we did not pay she will contact the police. The issue wasn’t paying. The issue was the lack of clarification from staff and lack of understanding. We won’t be returning to this hotel and we would not recommend it to others and if you book ensure you are informed clearly about all additional room charges.
The pool space was nice, the cleaning lady Chen was always so lovely, V at reception was lovely and very helpful in working out a room issues.

AustraliaThe rooms are quite dark and it’s hard to see properly. The bathroom needs better lighting. It’s hard to get ready to go out when you can’t really see yourself in the mirror.
Location was a bit far from the centre of Patong, but this was actually nice in some respects as it was more peaceful. It is also cooler up on the hill with the sea breeze. The resort is beautiful in a traditional Thai style. The staff were really lovely and very helpful. The pool is really nice. Loved having Youtube/Netflix on the TV.

MexicoFor drinks, lunch and dinner, I found more interesting and higher-than-average flavors outside the hotel. Access to the main Patong beach is close, but hard to get by walk.
Gorgeous hotel considering the super fair price of the stay (if you google AMANPURI you'll notice certain -budget- architectural inspiration, which is highly appreciated), room felt more spacious than in pictures and pools are delightful. Nice attention and staff always helpful when needed, they even gave us great tips for our tours. I recommend the included breakfast, it’s very vast.

South AfricaThe bathroom could use a bit of a revamp. I would've also preferred if the shuttle traveled to and from Patong Beach more frequently. The walk back up isn't the most fun, especially after a long and busy day.
The staff was super friendly and were very keen to assist wherever possible. The massage offered was also great! The room was quite spacious as well as the bed. We enjoyed most of the breakfast on offer.

LithuaniaFacilities a bit outdated. A/C very noisy - needs to be turned off while sleeping.
The pool is perfect, big rooms with enough storage space. Daily room cleaning. Breakfast as well was nice, but as we had a 5 night stay - wider menu options would be great.

MalaysiaThe transport to and from patong beach was limited to a few times a day... Would have been nice if it was on an hourly basis. Or in discussion with frontdesk. The massage was not that great and overpriced. But it was nice that they came to the room.
Location was nice. Out of the busyness of patong beach. Clean, quiet and friendly staff.

South AfricaWe had to ask to be moved from Room 302 as the airconditioning unit was blowing out Mould Smelly air. They should open, clean and service it and it should be fine again.

KuwaitResort location is on a hill so the awkward steepness of the road down to patong can be a hassle but its doable, a bidet/sanitary hose next to the toilet and a tv with a working HDMI port would have been nice additions to the room.

AustraliaThe internet was pretty unstable, the staff did what they could to help, but we had to hotspot most of the time - we extended our stay so it wasn't a deal breaker! The bed was big but not very comfortable - a toppa on the mattress would make all the difference, needs some cushioning between the mattress springs and the bottom sheet. Take care on the floors, the floor boards look great but they are very slippery - use the thongs provided to keep upright!
Breakfast was very good - a lot of effort went into the presentation and there were plenty of options. The room was lovely, large and while a little tired we still felt the luxury of it's beginnings. The pool(s) were perfect. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful - big shout out to Vee!! The location was great - just up the hill (excellent 15-20min incline walk if you're looking for early morning exercise). The hotel has a shuttle to the beach/CBD, but times didn't always sinc with our schedule so we usually walked down the hill (6-7mins) and grabbed a taxi or tuk tuk back up when we couldn't be bothered walking. we only ever paid 20 bart for the trip from the Patong CBD/beach area back to the hotel.

AustraliaAs other people have said. it’s a little worn around the edges. Old and loud aircon, slow hot water, wifi can cut out etc. However I still stayed here for around 3 weeks, so it obviously wasn’t that big an issue.
Great location, 15 minute walk into the centre of town, no crowd noise etc. And if you don’t want to walk they have a free shuttle service. The staff were all very lovely. Amazing value for money with the sale prices.

United KingdomThe only fault I have is that the pool near our room (not the main one at the bottom) regularly had leaves in it however we used the pool once and even if the leaves had been removed we would've used it all the same (we were only in Phuket a week and spent our chill time on the beaches)
We picked this as the structure of the buildings and rooms looked amazing and had a jungle vibe. We got exactly that. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean, the facilities worked fine and they even put a congratulations on our bed as we had got engaged whilst away. The hotel was quiet on a night time too which was great as TukTuks drive around blasting music down the hill (which is fantastic but not so sure I could cope with having a hotel near it!)
