Amazing place and amazing people

Best place so far on my trip. Spotlessly clean. Unlike a few other places on this trip, Cha Li's really deserves the good reviews. Lovely owner. Old school class act. I had to see the doctor and he drove me to town and showed me where I had to go and what to do. Doc took good care of me.

The pod bunk was a gimmick, way too creaky just stick to the normal bunk 😊

Good location, parking available, pool was super clean and looked after! Short walk to the night markets.

The beds were quite firm which were uncomfortable for us, but this is personal preference.

Great place to base yourself for a few days in Pai. A bit further out from from the main street but less than 10 minutes walk. Nice and quiet, large rooms and good shower.

It was very quiet, which would be ideal for some people but a bit too quiet for us.

Great place to stay, the beds in the hostel dorm were some of the best beds we have had so far. They each have their own large light and small light for reading, plug sockets, curtains and cupboards to lock away your bags. The room was large and the bathroom was clean. The pool area was lovely and very relaxed. The staff were nice and friendly too. It was a very short walk into Pai but far enough out that there was no noise.

Hotel staff were just as accommodating, friendly and helpful even to the hostel bunk which I stayed in. Pool and rest of facilities immaculately clean. Best hostel I've ever stayed in

We didn’t get offered to change our towels, I thought we would seeing as we were staying for 5 nights. O

We stayed for 5 nights, It was great value for money, the dorms were nice and clean, the pool area was great and the location was perfect. Overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

While I understand choosing to stay in a dorm can come with some uncomfortable situations, my first night had TWO beds bring in visitors having "fun" all night long, from 1am till 7.30am, every hour, alternating. It was disrespectful and incredibly uncomfortable for me to have to listen to that. I reported it the next morning but the receptionist laughed awkwardly and said that if I wanted to, I could change rooms - I found this a very strange proposition as I wasn't the one breaking the rules. All visitors have to sign a contract upon checking in, and it clearly states that if anyone is found bringing in visitors, they'll get charged. There is also an additional charge for having sex in the dorms. I was quite disappointed that this rule was not adhered to, and the hotel didn't care that much about it, finding it rather amusing instead. In addition to this, my friend and I were not aware that this was a 16-bed dorm! We were quite shocked when this was said upon checking in. The room has no lock either. Anyone can walk in from the street.

The furnishings of the dorms were nice, and the beds were comfy with a safety locker to keep your belongings in. I found the dorm and showers to be very clean, too. Free drinking water is available, and the pool outside was a nice touch. My second night of sleep was very comfortable and peaceful. If the rules against having outside visitors, plus no sex is implemented (maybe have better security at the front of the hotel!!), it would have been a much better stay overall. The fact that there were 16 beds in the dorm didn't actually bother me too much in the end as everyone else was quite respectful.

had a mishap with communication of the buses from Pai to Chaing mai and had to pay for a very expensive private taxi back. not much assistance offered on options

Restaurant/cafe was awful. Limited choices and the food was poor. We ate here once and didn't eat again. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the bottom bunks could get very very hot.

Location was good, walking distance to the centre, but far enough from any noise which was great. Pool was lovely and refreshing! Staff were lovely too.
