The resort (ie Kai Bae) is one of the more touristy on Ko Chang - but this is personal preference.

Welcoming and professional staff but also very comfortable. Well thought out with everything you could need and liked the smaller touches like fridge remaining on when out of room and smart tv (both unusual at this price point in Thailand).

The resort is at a great location on Kai Bae beach, surrounded by lots of restaurants, shops and bars. The resort was very peaceful and the owners and staff were very welcoming, making us feel at home. Breakfast was good and the pool was welcoming after a hot day. The resort is not far from the beach with its beautiful warm sea. Would definitely recommend the Garden Resort, you can book with confidence. Hoping to be back one day. It’s a quiet family resort but also there are restaurants and bars walking distance from the resort

From the first moment of arriving “Mouse” greeted us and made us feel very welcome, showed us the facilities and how everything works and with a great sense of humour made our stay outstanding.

Gorgeous pool and a really friendly community of wee bungalows. Nice spacing between the villas, so no noise intrusion. Super comfortable beds and a lovely breakfast! Thanks to the team who couldn't have been more helpful or friendly.

Just some small things that could be improved is that the bathroom was not super clean. There was kind of a bad smell and the shower drain was very filthy. When we used the bathroom at nighttime we could see quite a few cockroaches run off. Which I guess is inevitable in hot and humid countries but still not really what you want to experience when you go pee at night 😅

We really liked our stay at Garden Resort. The rooms are super comfy and spacious, the beds are soooo nice and soft 🤩 Rooms are equipped with a large fridge, coffee/tea/water and a smart tv with netflix and a large selection of movies and series. The (salt water) pool is very clean and spacious. Enough beds and pool towels are provided. The second night we changed rooms to a pool view room which seemed to have a bigger bed than the garden view room so that was nice! (Although not sure why there’s a difference) There is a 7/11 around the corner that is open 24/7 which is very convenient. Also lots of nice restaurants in the area. We did not have breakfast here so can not judge about that.

This is a great place to stay in Ko Chang and run extremely well by the owner Mause and his Thai wife . On arrival I was greeted by Mause who is a great and knowledgeable chap and was shown to my very nice room by the pool , a good sized room with all the amenities plus lots of films to watch on the tv if so desired . Breakfast was freshly cooked to order every morning featuring Asian and European dishes , I tried them all and all very good 😊. All the staff here are very polite and happy, the pool is excellent and uses a salt water cleaning system it's also open 24 hours if you fancy a late night dip 😊. In all I had a great relaxing time at the Garden Resort and will be back for sure I highly recommend this place . A big thank you to Mause and his wife and to all the staff at the Garden Resort .🙏🙏🙏.

Perhaps the only weakness here is the sleeping arrangement. The white curtains let in a lot of light, so without an eye mask, sleeping here would be quite difficult. The mattress was too soft, and I wouldn't want to sleep on it for more than a week.

This accommodation took our breath away. I really don't understand how it can have only three stars. We've been traveling around Thailand for a month and a half, and in our experience, this place deserves a solid 4-star rating. Beautiful spacious bungalow, in a charming garden setting with a great pool. The entire resort is incredibly peaceful; you feel like you're living outside of civilization. Then you take a few steps out of the resort, and it's like you've entered the matrix. Suddenly you're on a bustling street in the middle of the city.

Everything was good.

The room was large, bright, clean and comfortable. The room had a fridge, air con, plenty of sockets and a huge amount of films and programmes that could be played on the TV. The swimming pool was large, clean, deep and spotless and the best that we had on our SE Asia trip. There was a lot of attention to detail and the friendly, polite and courteous staff were constantly, cleaning and gardening. The breakfasts were fantastic. As an extra treat, the host, Mause, had a music night on the Sunday which was very popular.

Loved everything ! My room was big and quiet but hotel is near from Kai Bae beach (few minutes by walking), restaurants, 7/11, massages etc. The pool is great, staff is nice and give good recommandations, and breakfast is amazing !

The location of this hotel was great, set back from the road so no noise (other than of the nearby elephants!), but in the middle of lots of bars, restaurants, and shops. The beach is easy to get to from here. It is also close to the port where a lot of boats trips leave. Songthaew's are constantly available so really easy to get around between resorts as well. The pool area is lovely, and the pool itself is really deep, pool towels are provided, and changed whenever required. We had a lovely large room, comfortable bed, and big bathroom. All of the stay were lovely too - wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely comfortable rooms liked it so much we extended stay for extra 10 nights. Great location in middle of bars and places to eat.
