Property is right on the beach. A free boat shuttle was provided to and from the pier (,probably it's included in the ticket to the island). Very generous of the host to upgrade my room from garden view to seaview. Staff very friendly and polite. Restaurant serves delicious food. Simple and spacious room with attached bathroom. Bed is huge and comfortable. Wifi is accessible only in the restaurant.

The huts really could do with some renovation; they are looking very tired. Maybe just a paint! Also (I say this every year in my review) - it would be wonderful if you could switch to paper/metal straws and provide a water refill station (for a fee, of course) so that guests don't have to purchase plastic water bottles.

This was our third stay at Koh Ngai Seafood. You just can't beat the serene, peaceful location and the huts' proximity to the beach. They may be basic (cold water, hard bed, limited electricity/wifi), but their charm is what we pay for you and keep returning for. The resort seems to be family-run, with the same people each year. That makes it very special.

You can see an amazing view of the sea from the bungallow on one of the most wonderfull island in Thailand. The staff is very helpful always ready to help. The food in a restaurant is very good.

Well you can read it yourself but no hot water and no ac so very basic :) One bed was soft and the otber very hard so we slept three in the soft bed. And why do thai people hate bed lights?

The wifi was very poor from our bungalow and still patchy in common areas. Not the friendliest service we’ve received here in Thailand. The food in the restaurant was not to our liking,papaya salad had little flavour and spice. Even the boiled rice tasted odd.

The location and views were spectacular. Having hornbills in the tree just outside our window was so nice. The bed was large and comfortable. Really basic bungalow however it had everything you need.

The toughest part of the trip to Koh Ngai was the arrival. Due to the low sea level when we arrived, the boat couldn't approach the beach and there was no one waiting for us (as happened in the other hotels) to help us with the luggage. So basically we had to carry our roll-on bags for about 50m above our heads on top of our backpacks to reach the hotel, and it was a bit annoying. We recommend letting them know in advance the time of arrival and especially arriving in the morning to avoid the low tide.

This hotel is one of the most affordable in Koh Ngai and located in the most beautiful beach, so overall it is a very good budget option to stay in the island. The comfort of the rooms is limited however. It is the best place to eat in the island, since it is very good and the kitchen is open all the time.

The bathroom is a huge step, more than a foot, down from the rest of the bungalow. This was concerning during the night. There were cockroaches in the bathroom that came out at night; our second and third nights we left the light on. The worst aspect of our visit was that the necessity of requesting service for the bungalow was not explained to us when we arrived--it was explained on our last day! Charge for snorkel trip was 500 pp, but according to the menu, with 7 people on the boat it should have been 350.

We arrived by boat in high winds and had our first night booked elsewhere. Rachan (sp?) went to our hotel and got help with our bags without knowing that we had booked with his place. Bungalow was clean and in a good location. AC and instant water heater worked well. Sons of one of the proprietors run a bar and restaurant flanking the AC bungalows. The restaurant (Chom View) was fantastic and much better than the main Koh Ngai Seafood one.

No big complaints about the property. They could have had beach chairs for the guests. There was no hot water for showers. The kayaks could be cleaned.
