Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsWe had an incredible stay at Vanda‘s little green oasis outside of Pai. This whole place is filled with so much love and attention for detail and handmade things. Vanda has traveled the world a lot and is definitely one of the best hostess we‘ve ever met. From the folded elephant towels on your bed to the amazing breakfast, this is the loveliest hotel we discovered on our Thailand travels so far. Vanda provided us with a map of Pai and a lot of great tips about what to do and where to eat. As a couple in our mid 30s the vibe in Pai felt super young to us, driving 10 minutes from Pai back to Vanda‘s place was just pure relaxation and made us appreciate this calm and serene green space even more. Having a scooter is highly recommended though!

Our host Vanda was delightful, during check in she helped us to plan an itinerary for our 3 day stay in Pai. The gardens were delightful to relax around, the outdoor lounge was thoughtfully catered on an honour system. The rooms all had thoughtful additions and were comfortable and clean.

AustraliaQuiet location about 4 km from the busy town. The bungalow was very comfortable and had all what we needed including fridge and kettle. A plus was the mountain view from our little verandah. Vanda is an amazing host. If we had more time we would have stayed much longer!

South AfricaNothing. It was perfect.
The wonderful Vanda went out of her way to make my 18 year old daughter and her friend's stay exceptional. She arranged transport to and from town to the resort, she provided a driver's number because there is no Grab or Uber in Pai, she booked a tour for them to do in Pai that was amazing, and she even went out of her way to connect her with other guests. Vanda even made sure they had food for the road when they departed. As a mother, I really deeply appreciated the care Vanda put in to making sure my daughter was safe and felt welcomed.

NetherlandsPai is an nice town to stroll around for a few days, and especially the nature is beautiful and worth a visit. What really made Pai awesome is Pura Vida and Vanda. This place is a true gem! The houses are really beautiful and clean, the beds are the best we’ve had in Thailand, the garden is a little paradise, and the breakfast was delicious. To top that all off, there’s Vanda’s joyful and friendly vibe, making this place the absolute best. Thanks Vanda!!

GermanyWe had a wonderful stay at Vanda‘s place. The resort is a very special and unique place, especially through the lovely details you can find everywhere. It’s a very peaceful area and with a scooter, it’s very easy to reach the city within 10 minutes. The rooms are super clean and the breakfast is amazing. And if there‘s anything you would like to know or need help with, Vanda or one of her friends will help you. Last but not least, we loved her staff and their kindness. This place felt definitely like home!

Pure bliss staying at this beautiful oasis, the garden is gorgeous and maintained by our lovely hostess Vanda! You can tell that she loves being at Pura Vida Pai. There are comfy places to sit scattered throughout the garden area and restaurant. We spent half the day just relaxing and reading. We had a delicious breakfast of yogurt, fruit and muesli and yummy rice soup. The rooms are colorful and very comfortable, windows with screens that we could open at night without using the AC. All in all a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature! On a side note, my husband left his kindle in the room and Vanda contacted him and mailed it to our last destination out of the goodness of her heart. ❤️🙏❤️

ThailandWe loved everything
Pura Vida Pai Resort is a beautiful boutique style Resort with nice Bungalows. The garden and green surroundings are beautiful and very peaceful. Vanda the owner is doing everything to make your stay pleasant. We enjoyed our stay a lot! The Resort is a little outside of Pai Main Street what we preferred. If you drive motorcycle it’s a beautiful ride though nature and the views stunning. Make sure you go up to the Hula Hula Sunset Viewpoint. You can’t miss it!

NetherlandsVanda is such a nice host. She was always looking after here guests and was interested in their story's. She gave a lot of useful tips about places to go, parking, eating etc. The property is really nice, in a quiet place with beautiful landscapes. It is about a 10 minute drive to town, if you want to go to the night market in the centre of Pai. French toast for breakfast was nice. You can choose from 3 options. The room is great and clean, has everything you need. The decoration is very classy! We had a very nice stay.

AustraliaIt would be fabulous to have a small pool on the grounds...very difficult I understand in the location but it is hot in Pai and would be lovely to have somewhere to cool off after a day out.
Location was a fair way out of town but that made it a great quiet place to be away from craziness of Pai. Breakfast was nice. The rooms were lovely and comfy beds. The owner Vanda was exceptionally friendly and helpful. She welcomed us like family and was very helpful in telling us places to visit.

This was such a beautiful place, very peaceful with lovely gardens and areas to sit and enjoy. Vanda was lovely, very helpful and kind and she has made Pura Vida look amazing with all her crafty mobiles and other little touches. Very comfortable beds and pretty, well thought out rooms.
