Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWe spent 5 nights here at The Legend it is situated in a very quiet street down by the river . Our room was lovely, it had a mosquito net around the bed ( we did not need it ) screens on all doors and windows and mosquito lotion in the room .A nice relaxing pool area and clean pool with plenty of loungers . Great bathroom with jacuzzi tub , in room safe , kettle, coffee, tea umbrella , aircon plus a fan and bathroom amenities Mozzies are there due to the beautiful gardens, fish ponds and closeness of the river but the resort has things in place so you are no bothered by them . Breakfast was buffet style and enough variety for everyone also cappuccino and latte made for us . We had pizza and craft beer in house one night that was really nice and Thai on our last night in their restaurant. My husband had a lovely beef curry but my Pad Thai Goong wasnt the best ( I did mention it to staff ) noodles not cooked enough and the dry prawns/shrimp were tough so I didnt finish it. Our starters were also really good and craft beer to wash it down . The staff at The Legend were very attentive and always smiling. You are never ignored the staff seem to know just when you need them . So Legend Chiang Rai we will be back thank you for a great 5 days .

We loved our stay here. It's a bit out of town on the river but easy to get a Grab or taxi into town and it's a beautiful location. Wonderful staff. Lovely pool. We didn't use it but there was a gym too. Very nice room. Great breakfast. We had dinner at the hotel too and it was lovely. Definitely recommend!

AustraliaA really relaxing hotel on the banks of the Kok River. The grounds and views are beautiful. The staff are very attentive and breakfast is very good. An easy, short trip to the city centre using Grab or a tuk tuk. Our family of four had a two bedroom villa, which was perfect for us.

AustraliaNothing bad to note at all.
Actually such an amazing place, the entire property is huge and has beautiful buildings, structures, garden, ponds surrounding the whole property, water views at breakfast and pool side bar. we booked a car which we could park in the resort. From a distance to the main city, we drove every day so walking distance I wouldn’t know much about. hiring a car in Chiang Rai was a good choice for us as it allowed us to drive to the main sites to visit there. Our room had a pond views which was beautiful to have the French doors open during the day to see. not really related to the property but if you are considering doing a day trip to Chiang Rai from Chiang Mai, I would highly recommend hiring your own car from the airport and spending a few days there. the drive from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai was one of the highlights of our trip.

The setting by the river was peaceful and lovely. Thai food in the Terrace restaurant was very good, the prices reasonable for a hotel, and the servings large. We didn't bother eating elsewhere as the food was so good. Another guest said the Italian restaurant was very good too, but we didn't try it. The infinity pool was lovely. The day spa was excellent, the masseurs very good. Prices are probably a bit cheaper in town, but the massages still cost half the price I would have paid at home.

MalaysiaThe bed is a bit hard. I've got a bit of back ache sleeping on the bed. Probably it's because I sleep by myside. That's the only thing. I guess you could talk to the resort people over it.
Oh My GOD. That was the word comes to my mind. It is one of the most amazing resort I've ever stayed in my life. The nature and the beauty and the ambience, The smell, they view from my room. It's spellbinding. I will never forget my experience staying in this hotel for the rest of my life. The breakfast was awesome. Especially the Porridge soup.. it was beyond. Even the eggs to order, she made the exact right egg the way that I love. The manager was so hospitable and the front desk staff, they were such a darling. THe swimming pool is amazing as the view from the swimming pool to the river is spell binding. I'm still not over with the amazingness of this resort. It is a sure place I'm gonna stay everytime I come to Chiang Rai, I'm going to recommend this resort to so many people. Thank you for the great experience.

AustraliaA few more vegan, non-dairy options would be good at breakfast but there’s enough. Had to pay 250 baht for a broken cup that I think some bird tipped over :(
Loved the staff. Stefan the head chef was particularly friendly and even came out at 5am to say buy. they also gave us a huge breakfast bag which we ate on the slow boat to Pakbeng. great they have reusable glass bottles for the water! Huuuge room and amazing gardens with fish ponds. Nice river section to sit down at sunset as well. great value!

AustraliaBit far from town, to walk there have to go through very quite neighbourhood, didn’t feel that safe there as not many people around. So he to spend money on taxis. But location is beautiful! Also the food is pretty pricey, worth getting taxi into town to get some cheap eats and entertainment.
We really loved the place. Very big room, nice ponds and beautiful gardens. Huge area down by the river to walk along including lounges to chill. Shower was big enough to have 10 people in! Nice little balcony. Quiet location except for the birds, good place to escape from the Sangkran Thai New Year water fights.

AustraliaNothing.
The breakfast, and all meals were of a very high standard, delicious! The staff were very welcoming, attentive, helpful and happy. A little out of the CBD, however, a short ride into town and well worth it for the location of the resort on the river. Amazing tranquil grounds, very serene. Congratulations to Erik and his team for providing an unforgettable stay.

AustraliaGym is a bit small and limited to a few treadmills, elliptical machines and some light free weights. There's no benches or other weightlifting equipment. Had to ask staff to cook eggs for us at breakfast, otherwise they weren't available
Peaceful, quiet, spacious atmosphere with lush and green gardens and many large established trees beside the river. Room was large with comfortable private outdoor table and seating. Location is reasonably close to the centre of town. A public park with a running track is just upstream from the resort.

ThailandWifi and TV reception could be better although they do get BBC.
Spent 2 dyas there last week. Reasonable room rates. Units are clean and beds are firm but comfortable. Large pool and exercise room. Mosquito nets although mosquitos were not a problem. Very large shower area and abundant hot water. Breakfast was excellent. Eggs to order, fruit, sausage, bacon, etc. We live in Thailand and they had the best crispy bacon I have eaten anywhere. Abundant parking. Eric, the Swedish Manager, is a SE Asia pro and both highly experienced and pleasant to talk with. You will probably see him chatting with guests in the dining area. I suspect he speaks a half dozen languages. His 96-year-old mother lives there and they take a daily walk around the property. Only complaint was the wifi was quirky in our unit but that's not a big deal. Worked fine in the dining room.

PolandThe room needed maintenance - the faucet in the bathroom moved every time you touched it. Minor things, but expected more attention to detail in a 4 star hotel.
The location is ver peaceful, right on the river. Absolutely love the tranquility of the place. Loved the balcony and the outdoor sitting space in the room. The general manager is a great resource making rounds at breakfast and giving valuable information about Chiang Rai!
