Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBreakfast was poor, very little choice and nowhere near the standard of the food the restaurant was capable of making. Arriving as a solo traveller there were very little signs to show how to get to the hotel itself. You get dropped off at a taxi rank and you have to walk with your baggage down a long alley and then pull your bags across the rocks and around people's houses before arriving at the destination. I found this intimidating to navigate at night. I dont feel this is mentioned anywhere. Pool was closed for a few days because it turned a funny colour of green.
Wow what a view. My room was right on the rocks looking out at sunset and the beach and ocean. The staff at breakfast and dinner were incredibly kind and even offered an opportunity to go and feed the fish with fresh bread which was a novelty. Food cooked from the restaurant was great and it is literally a heartbeat from the beach.

ThailandWe stayed in the smallest bungalow with garden view, due to everything else being fully booked. Very small room, rock hard bed but a pleasant sea view from the terrasse. Some unpleasant smell in this part of the resort too. Staff were friendly but English spoken close to zero. Breakfast was ok but mainly Asian options. The family bungalows looked really great though, with amazing sea views, and they looked newly renovated so probably worth to go for one of those if availaible.
Amazing location, just between two really bice beaches, really nicely maintained garden, cozy layout of bungalows, and very pleasant pool area.

ThailandThe pool was closed, and apparently has been for some time. The water was algae green due to a broken pump. Since having a pool is a selling point of resorts in the area, it was disappointing to check in and find it out of order. Also, note that the restaurant and bar close at 9 PM. If you go off on a snorkeling tour or other activity, you need to rush back to clean up and squeeze dinner in before the kitchen closes.
This is by far the nicest resort in Ao Vongduen. The resort is pristine and sits on its own peninsula. The rooms all offer outside sitting areas with ocean view. The staff was polite and very helpful. You can walk along the beach to all of the other restaurants, bars, and resorts in this cove. Breakfast was good, with eggs cooked to order, and a nice selection of Asian or western food. Very nice coffee machine that makes, Americans, latte, cappuccino, or mocha. Our dinner was fantastic, and the beachside setting is beautiful.

United KingdomThe Cottages we were in really showing wear, pleasant enough but v small space and could do with refreshing. I think some may have already been renovated but not the ones we had. Staff were lovely though.
Lovely island location, beautiful beaches, great staff, lovely food. Next time will likely pick a different resort.

CanadaSituation from main town requires one to either pay local taxis or rent a scooter to access other options than are not on the small Wong Dueang beach. Only a few of the staff could speak English very well. Majority of guests either Chinese or Russian.
Beautifully situated at the end of the beach, great breakfast. Authentic Thai style buildings.

United KingdomNothing to dislike but of course future guests should always note the size of their compact villa with balcony when booking. The space is limited but in the main perfectly formed. I would personally be rid of the sleeping platform style bed. The projecting shelf sides are an abomination to us oldies and mean that the other bedside is hard against a wall.
Stunning location on a quiet rocky point between 2 bays, perfect swimming beach just a few steps away, superb food cooked for you with real Thai and Lao herbs and spices and generous portions and fresh ingredients. Owner and staff wonderfully helpful and wishing to please their guests.

AustraliaTwo negatives: first, is the showers there not great and don’t feel very clean and the water pressure is very bad. Second, no canoes 🛶 or paddle boards supplied.
Beautiful location and view! Walking in were we unsure, because the entrance is run down. However as soon as you reached the reception, everything is very nicely maintained and really pretty. We loved our room and the kids especially enjoyed the top cubby house for their bed. View from bed to ocean was perfect and the couches outside created a relaxing vibe for our evening drinks and games with kids. Buffet Breakfast was also good, more than adequate. Staff were always polite too. Only negative I can think of was there were no canoe 🛶 or paddle boards supplied. We loved our time and we can confidently recommend to any family seeking a relaxing holiday.

ThailandWe had room B8 in the main building at the end of the second floor with a nice sea view. Lucky we had only one room neighbour, because the walls seem to be of paper. We could hear nearly everything of them especially the bathroom door banging, obviously it needed some power to close it. Better book a bungalow if you are sensitive to this. Unfortunately the breakfast was not on the same high level as the restaurant food, cheap toast bread and low quality jam spoiled the overall good impression a bit.
It was such a relaxed atmosphere to sit in front of the restaurant at the seaside under a huge old tree that gave shadow and having a super fresh sea food meal from the very good kitchen there. The prices a bit higher than around but big portions and all fresh and tasty.

United States of AmericaIt looks like the Ceptic system on the island is rather primitive; all hotels drain their pipes directly into the ocean. Also they burn plastic ; no recycling . But it doesn’t happen every day; so the air is mostly clean

United Arab EmiratesThe approach to the property needs improvement. Vehicles cannot enter the property so lugging a suitcase of appx 12 kgs from the entrance to the reception was a major task as there is a steep incline at a point with poor road condition. This issue needs to be resolved. The walk from the entrance to the reception area needs to be also kept clean and maintained better.
Great views.
